...A senior source involved in the process told me fairly late last night:
"Were going into this vote and we dont have 50 right now." "Theres been a lot of work that was done today, by members wading through this material. I dont want to put my thumb on..."

Since false allegations of sexual assault didnt work, and the drinking habits as a college student didnt work, and the wrong temperament line is failing, desperate Democrats are FINALLY trying to get substantive... and are failing miserably, of course... but we can now look forward to the Judge Kavanaugh doesnt respect the Right to Privacy line. Theres just one little problem there...
The main 4th Amendment case that Liberals are now squawking about is Klayman v Obama... where Kavanaugh sided with Obama on bulk data collection.
Get that? Liberals are screaming that Kavanaugh cannot be trusted on privacy... because he sided with OBAMA!!!
Kavanaughs other main 4th Amendment cases:
NFFE (union) v Vilsack (random drug testing of US Forestry employees)
US v Askew (unzipping a jacket during a frisk)
Im not sure that either of these is a monumental reason to pretend that he should not be allowed on the Bench. Many people support random drug testing, ESPECIALLY of Federal employees... and police unzipping a jacket during a weapons search does not seem to be an unreasonable rights violation to most people.
Whats next, Libs?

It will be worth it just to watch Manchin racing down the aisle to try and beat Pence to the red button.

I can’t believe McConnell would schedule a vote if he didn’t have 50.

The Occam’s Razor answer is that Murkowski is holding out for more pork. Fortunately she’s about the most buy-able vote we’ve ever seen on our side of the aisle.

“Agree with those who say that McConnell would not schedule the vote if he didnt have 50”
Like the Obamacare vote. Oh, wait.....

Axois epitomizes a poorly disguised Dem Front group .
Mikey Allen is famous for his water guns fights with Joe Biden at the WH picnics .
Jimmy V the other founder was famous for his hissy fits on the Bush
Air Force if Fox News was on vs his CNN comrades . The Bush staff would turn off CNN and put on Fox just to watch him snap.
If you ever saw Mikey Allens DNC wife you would be hiring nice looking staff.

Cloture is a done deal. There is no reason to continue debate. All three Reps in question will vote Yea. Manchin will vote no for cloture.
The floor vote will be trickier. Manchin will swap his vote, so he can say he was against it before he was for it. I think we’ll lose Flake, but keep Collins and Murkowski.

Then I suggest The Turdle delivers the votes.

I cant believe McConnell would schedule a vote if he didnt have 50.
This is a unique situation. Voting Kavanaugh down will inflict SOOOOO much damage on the Dems next month that a vote is worth having in any case. This is a win-win-win scenario for us.

I doubt Mitch would schedule the vote if he wasnt pretty sure about the numbers. That said, if they vote him down, Trump should re-nominate, and let that be the issue in November. And we have a WINNAH...
Please stick to the $2 and under shelf to claim your prize.. :D

No deals. Hold the vote. If any GOP Senator votes against Kavanaugh, expel them from the GOP. Make this THE election issue and hope for a new crop of replacements in November. Then re-nominate Kavanaugh and push the vote through as the first order of business in January.

Interesting.
My take based on nothing but gut feeling is that flake and Collins will vote yes and Merkoski will vote no.
What her women want precludes a yes vote based on judicial credentials.

If any GOP Senator votes against Kavanaugh, expel them from the GOP.
I understand your sentiment but there is no actual mechanism to do that. An expelled member would just go over and caucus with the Dems. That's not a win for us.
I think you use the carrot and not the stick. Mitch needs to enlighten them that their life in the Senate could be much, much better. Or not.
To: Mr Ramsbotham
"Along with the blue state RINOS?"
Which ones? Murkawski and Collins are not up for re-election this year but 10 red state Dems are.
To: 1Old Pro
Only if the NO voting Republicans are also held to account.
That's up to the voters in those states. I have little faith in Alaskans as they've already blown their earlier chance to get rid of that vile woman. But it will destroy Democrats across the board. Yesterday Heidi Heitkamp essentially SURRENDERED her Senate seat thanks to this vote! That's a taste of things to come.
To: BuckeyeGOP
I dont think they are going to say how they will vote because they dont want the crazies harassing them even more
