This is a unique situation. Voting Kavanaugh down will inflict SOOOOO much damage on the Dems next month that a vote is worth having in any case. This is a win-win-win scenario for us.

I would, in his position. Voting no on Kavanaugh is a massive political hammer to use on red state Dems. You absolutely get everyone's vote on Kavanaugh on the record before the midterms, win or lose.
