I don't know if this true or not, but I've been suspicious and worried about this ending in defeat after Lindsey Graham started putting on his act as a fighter for the republican base. Graham has been part of the RINO establishment for his entire career, and the establishment has used similar acts to placate and manipulate the base by putting on a show to make it look like they did everything could for us. In reality these acts are often used because they already expect to fail; intentionally or not, and it's nothing more than damage control.
We've seen these dramatic and passionate fights come out of nowhere right before losing on an issue important to the base. I hope my concerns are unfounded, and we win this, but if we don't for whatever reason, we need to remember that Graham and the rest of the establishment tried to play us as fools.
