DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GORSUCH AND KAVANNAUGH
Posted on 10/04/2018 11:00:51 AM PDT by Jean2
I have an observation and a question. I don't remember the dims or anyone else having such a cow over Gorsuch. What is the deal with Kavannaugh? Just curious.

BK is replacing Kennedy...a reliable swing vote is being replaced with a hopefully reliable conservative vote.

Because this appointment changes the balance of power on the court.

Gorsuch didn't create a conservative majority, Kavenaugh does.
Just that simple

Kav is perceived as replacing a moderate, swing vote.

The ‘Rats had their usual cow on Gorsuch and failed. Decided to go large on K.

Everyone’s right. Gorsuch replaced Scalia. Leftists considered that a wash. Kavanaugh changes the balance.
To: Jean2
Actually, they did.
So much so that Senator McConnell had to deploy the nuclear option. They just can’t abide a conservative getting on the Supreme Court.

IMO — Gorsuch replaced Scalia. That’s just a swap of one Conservative for another Conservative. How much can they really complain?
Kennedy was a swing vote who at least helped the Life win some of the time. To lose Kennedy and get stuck with yet another Conservative is being seen as a major setback for the Left.
And they know that RBG is leaving soon, and that is swapping a hardcore Leftist for another Conservative.
The Left sees the trend and they’re fighting against it.

Gorsuch was just a one for one replacement for Conservative Scalia. Kavanaugh replaces swing vote and somewhat malleable Anthony Kennedy, which would give SCOTUS a 6-3 Originalist majority.

Kavanaugh is replacing a moderate justice. Gorsuch replaced another conservative. This appointment is a game-changer. It provides our side with a new security buffer against the tyranny of the Left. At least 10-20 years, which will slow down their takeover of the government and our eventual subjugation.
Also, less babies will be murdered for convenience if Trump can fill this vacancy with a conservative jurist, and the left can't have that. Too risky for "choice".

Gorsuch replaced a very conservative justice....Scalia.
Kavanaugh is replacing a squishy middle of the road justice and will change the makeup of the court to (hopefully) be more conservative.
To: Jean2
What is the deal with Kavanaugh? Just curious. Limbaugh may have just nailed it. He estimates 80% of the leftist agenda stuffed into our culture was not voted on but rather was the result of the courts. K presents a clear danger to the left in that context.

100% TDS.
If President Trump were to nominate a dyed in the wool liberal, the same would have happened.

- Kavanaugh changes the liberal/conservative ratio of the court.
- They're trying to intimidate the next nominee, to make it harder for PDJT to find people who will go through the process.

You think this is bad wait until Ginsberg goes. The left will have to be restrained in straight jackets because they will go completely berserk.
