Alabama GOP: Doug Jones' no vote on Kavanaugh 'betrays our state'

The Alabama Republican Party said Friday that U.S. Sen. Doug Jones', D-Ala., intention to vote against confirming Brett Kavanaugh "betrays our state."

Jones indicated Thursday night that he would not vote to confirm Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, citing what he believed was Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's credible testimony that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when he was a high school student. Alabama's junior senator also suggested that the Senate Judiciary Committee's decision not to subpoena Kavanaugh friend Mark Judge, whom Ford said witnessed the incident, and the committee's failure to receive all relevant documents on Kavanaugh impacted his decision.

Well, not for five more years it’s not. And that’s a pain.

Actually, Jones is up for reelection in Nov 2020.

Exactly. Judge Moore should have won that election walking away. It stinks to high heaven with McConnell leading the whole conspiracy. Why did Moore stop campaigning two weeks before the election ? Was he threatened? Paid off ?

“Now those AL Republicans who sat on their fannies, rather than vote for Judge Moore, are to blame.”

Many are here, and/or were encouraging them to do so.

He’s not in office for 5 more years. It was a special election to fill the Keebler Elfs seat. He’s up in 2020 IIRC.

Would have been easier if voters hadn’t selected the retard Moore as their nominee. No one would now give a damn what Flake had to say.

Has Nelson in Florida signaled how he will vote. He’s a rubber stamp, and in a race he should lose. Can’t afford to upset the majority.

“Now those AL Republicans who sat on their fannies, rather than vote for Judge Moore, are to blame. “

True and the Alabama politicos who actively sabotaged Roy Moore’s candidacy. Not to mention all the rinos and NeverTrumpers(Bush, romney, mcScrotum...) that came out and said Roy Moore was scum.

Bull shi*. Blame Bentley the crooked governor who paid off a dirty AG with a Senate appointment to keep from going to prison.

Strange doesn’t get that appointment he is nowhere to be found during the special election.

This gal, IMHO, is a little late to the game. If the Judge was such a threat to society, why bring it up now. . .knowing very well that lives would be forever harmed. That is the way the left swampies try to be relevant in this world. Our country is right up there with Judah and we know what happened to her. Thumbing our nose at God is NOT a good thing.

We will some of the Republicans that have been compromise by the end of the week.

Those who have been compromised mostly like have dark secrets in their closets.

There are a lot of Republicans senators who are compromise. They take turns falling on their own swords like chess pieces for their controlling masters.
