Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.
This is indeed a fine man worthy of the High Court. He is even more of a model, if you ask me, for young people amidst this terribly over-sexualized society. Bravo Judge K! You ARE a real man!

I had already noticed that none of the accusations against Kavanaugh involved sexual intercourse. My expectation was that the dems would keep digging, trying to move from drunken teenager rowdiness to actual sex, and I had been surprised that hadn't already happened. This statement puts Kavanaugh in the position of being contradicted by any girl who comes forward and says she slept with him. So I believe him.
Kavanaugh would be a relatively rare outlier, but he is not alone. Some still walk the walk.
Of course the left will slough this off as BS. Why? Because they feel everybody leads the same deviant lifestyles as they do.
Because the evil Dems will find a woman who said they dated and had sex.

It doesn't strike me as a spontaneous comment. I'll bet they ran it past a few all-female focus groups to see if it rang true. Who knows, maybe it'll make him seem less threatening to Collins and Murkowski.
