In a newly released YouGov poll about Brett Kavanaughs nomination to the Supreme Court, only 26 percent of respondents agreed that the allegation of sexual assault against Brett Kavanaugh made by California professor Christine Blasely Ford is generally credible.
Conversely, 28 percent of respondents reported thinking that the allegation is not credible while the plurality of those polled either were not sure about the credibility of the allegation (14 percent) or hadnt heard enough information to come to a conclusion (32 percent). YouGov pollsters conducted the survey with one thousand respondents on Monday and Tuesday, so the results represent Americans reactions to the initial coverage of Fords sexual assault allegation this week.
These numbers may come as a surprise to those who have watched the overwhelmingly supportive coverage that Fords allegation has received in most mainstream news sources, including Sundays Washington Post piece that first laid out Fords more detailed claims about Kavanaugh. In subsequent coverage of the allegation early this week on outlets like CNN and MSNBC, journalists and pundits have typically assumed that Fords allegation is either definitely true or very plausible despite having little to no corroborating evidence for the story beyond the professors own words.

No, not really.
That’s it! This proves she’s telling the truth.
26% is like a majority or something, like.
The average IQ is 100. That means half of the populace has a lower IQ. It’s most likely a normal distribution. Twenty-five percent is probably the left-hand IQ tail. So, these numbers make sense. (Yes, this means people who believe her are, in effect, idiots.)
Evidently they all read (and comment on) “The Washington Post”. Reading an opinion piece there is like a stroll thru a hall of funhouse mirrors.
Notice, poll of “Americans” — NOT poll of citizens or voters.
Even so, only 26% say the accusations are believable — 36 years late, all of a sudden.
If she had called the police heres how it would have gone down:
Cop: Hello
Ford: Im a teenager and I was at a party and we all got drunk and a boy pressed himself against me and wanted to take off my bathing suit.
Cop: So, he took off your bathing suit?
Ford: No, he tugged at it but I know he WANTED to take it off.
Cop: OK, he was drunk and he thought about taking off your bathing suit... but didnt take it off?
Ford: Yes, AND he wanted to rape me.
Cop: He raped you?
Ford: No, but Im sure he thought about it.
Cop: Are you psychic?
Ford: I want you to come arrest him.
Cop: You want me to come and arrest all of you for drinking when youre all underage?
Ford: No, I want you to arrest to boy who was thinking offensive thoughts.
Cop: Easy, go home, tell your father what happened, have him call the father of the boy and tell him NOT to tug on your swimsuit, not to offer alcohol to minors and then YOU can pretend we came and arrested the boy...
Thats the same number that think that Elvis and JFK are still alive.
I seriously doubt that anything like 26% really believe the allegations are truthful—at least not as reported. The 26% undoubtedly reflects some who are simply agreeing to satisfy a sick ideological agenda! They are consciously & deliberately ignoring their own experiences & common sense.
Elvis is alive!!!!!!!!!! Dammmmit!!!
The assault may have taken place. We only have a hazy alcoholic memory that such a thing ever happened.
There is much less certainty that the assault could be attributed to, specifically, Brett Kavanaugh. A memory that cannot recall the date, or place, or circumstances leading up to being at the location described, is almost certainly equally faulty in recalling the other persons in the room.
More telling, is that this is a RECOVERED memory, which is notorious for being subject to even minimal suggestion from other sources, making identification all the more suspect. Did young Christine Blasey actually have some acquaintance with the young Brett Kavanaugh, or was this all a fantasy of some kind? No doubt they COULD have met, as there was some social contact between the two schools of which they were in attendance at the time. Is there any third-party acknowledgement of acquaintance in ANY setting?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I know. I saw him at a lounge show in Vegas recently. Still looked pretty good. The voice has changed a little with age.
No surprise, 26-30 % is exactly the idiot retard faction that is always wrong on everything. 35-40 would be a problem.
If given a choice, I wonder how many would have chosen “bull**it” as their answer.
I’m thankful for anyone who relays accurate information to President Trump about the perceptions of conservative Americans in Trump country.
I think the patent unfairness of this is going to offend most Americans and backfire on the RATS.
YouGov is owned by Brits and usually skews surveys way to the left. 26% is probably very high relative to reality.
It’s total BS . A long shot attempt by a committed Liberal activist intellectual who wants to be remembered in the annuls of this Resist Trump movement and play a role in unseating Trump’s SCOTUS selection . That would guarantee her status in the movement . The only thing is ‘the movement’ is eventually going to be crushed , like a nest of cockroaches . Her among them .
That cannot be true. Only this morning on Fox News I heard Christ Stirewalt ssying the polls are showing that fewer and fewer people believe Kavanaugh, and that the issue is breaking for the Democrats.
A girl just does not know what to believe.
All lefty man-hating liberal women.
