President Trump has ordered that numerous documents involving the Russia investigation be declassified. The records have long been sought by Congress under lawful subpoenas. Yet, the FBI and Department of Justice have consistently obstructed the release of these materials under the guise of “classified” secrets. This is a convenient alibi all too frequently employed to cover-up wrongdoing and abuse of authority by those we entrust to uphold the law.
These days, overzealous government officials automatically designate nearly all matters as national security risks, regardless of whether they truly are.
Whenever the FBI orders Chinese take-out, it is labeled “top secret” because… you know… it involves the Chinese. False classification has reached absurd proportions.
How do we know? Every time information is declassified we learn that the material should never have been classified to begin with. It was nothing more than a subterfuge. Here are two recent examples:
In July, a substantial portion of the wiretap warrant applications presented to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court was declassified. It turns out that no vital sources or methods were revealed in a way that jeopardized either national security or the FBI’s secret investigative techniques. Instead, we learned that much of the application to spy on a Trump campaign associate, Carter Page, was based on an unverified “dossier” that was funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and composed by a British spy, Christopher Steele, who was fired by the FBI for lying.....

Don’t forget his right/effort to assist in persecuting patriots like Flynn and others on made-up charges. Sessions has been pretty good at that. And don’t forget his right to make low-level, white-collar offenders spend 23 hours a day in solitary confinement.

If not, the President should drive to the FBI building and personally fire him and escort him out of the building. Then repeat the procedure as necessary.
They aren’t released ALREADY? Why isn’t President Trump doing something about it? For one reason, it would shift the focus away from the maniacs’ theatrics to destroy the Kavanaugh nomination.

I think the IG was able and willing to release texts that the FBI/DOJ “couldn’t find”. I’d love to see Horowitz (an Obama appointee) release the docs to congress.
1) It would very much fall into the purpose that congress gave when they created the IG role if he delivers the info to congress (not a media release). The IG is supposed to be congress’s view into the executive branch with ability to balance congressional oversight with separation of powers. He’s not supposed to have a personal stake in the oversight like other members of the agency he’s inspector of. When the “top executive” says he’s waiving separation of powers FOR THESE SPECIFIC DOCS ONLY, the IG has a no-brainer decision on that balance and no concern for precedence (which the FBI/DOJ love to use as an excuse to avoid oversight).
2) He’s “outside” the “Russia fiasco” being appointed well before 2016/Trump and not a player in it like Rosenstein.
3) He’d be making a somewhat authoritative statement that the president is allowed to declassify the docs and share with congress.

What’s weird is that, at least as far as I’ve seen, the congressmen who are aware of what’s in the declassified material aren’t even talking about it. Aren’t they free to do so, now?

Why hasn’t this been done yet? Chain of command, rosenstein needs to do it right now, or be fired on the spot for insubordination.

Anyone in the DOJ or FBI who refuses to declassify the documents as ordered by the President of the United States should be arrested for obstruction of justice.

There cannot be. This is really the last straw. Everyone knew the declas order was coming. Sessions should have had the documents copied sealed, ready to unseal and hand out to all and sundry the second the ink was dry on the order.
His conduct at this point is inexcusible. He may have arguments for being above politics, for investigating inside crimes thoroughly, but he is a servant of the country and the taxpayers and this has taken far too long. Our patience for the man ran out long ago.
His middle name should be changed from Beauregard to McClellan the way he dithers and dilly-dallies.
I am as strong a supporter of Trump as there is. Sessions, get moving or get out of the way. You are beyond a sick joke.

Personally, if there is any delay, Trump should tweet "I issued EO under my authority for immediate release of documents and text. If not done by noon, I will fire responsible parties at DOJ/FBI."
No he won't, but your right about him not being an Idiot. He's a life long soldier for the Clinton crime organization... Rosenstein is part of the inter conspiracy and is there to cover for the Obummer and the Clintons...
