A real shame. I insist that the feds over did it in PR (there is such thing as too much help), and the local government, having basically just collapsed, couldn't handle all the help sent our way.

Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.

a senior official at FEMA that these viral images shared to Facebook earlier in the week do indeed show “what may be millions of water bottles” that were sent to Puerto Rico by the U.S. federal government and then never delivered to those in need by local authorities

If the local corrupt Dem PR politicians delivered the water, they wouldn’t be able to blame Trump. It is more important for them to gain a political advantage, along with the help of the MSM, than it is to actually help people who are dying due to a natural disaster.

In any disaster like a major hurricane, the government assistance is only as good as the local governor and state authorities can make it. Texas recovered from her hurricane last year because they had competent people in place to deal with it. Puerto Rico did not because their local authorities were inept. If there was a lesson to be learned from last year it’s that FEMA and the Feds need to be ready to step in and provide more assistance when the local authorities are unable to hold up their end of things.

The traits that determine our ability to take care of ourselves and those around us are inherited, through genetics, and/or through culture. Some people don’t get enough ability to take care of themselves, some people get just enough to care for themselves, and some people get enough to care for themselves and a few of the people around them. The least capable are out-reproducing the most capable by several times each generation.

I’d tell you all to “do the math”, but you’re mostly too dumb for it.

I seem to recall local truckers refusing to distribute relief supplies unless they were first paid handsomely. Not sure if they were Teamsters, but they were still greedy scumbags.

The mayor is a Democrat and refused to help with the distribution of supplies. But you know, it was ALL TRUMP’S FAULT the supplies didn’t get to the people. And how did they come up with the new number of deaths? It was around 70, and then all of a sudden it is 3,000? Did no one in Big Media question this?

Puerto Rico, like Mexico and most other Latin American kleptocracies, operates on the principle of "la mordida" -- the bite -- in other words, bribes. PR's inability to recover from last year's hurricane is mostly self-inflicted.

An old friend of mine who has worked with FPL for decades was down there with generators donated, and couldn't get them off the docks until they paid off the loading crews and truckers to transport them to locations agreed upon before they set sail from Miami. After a month, they were simply brought back to the U.S.

Then there's this:

Containers of Hurricane Donations Found Rotting in Puerto Rico Parking Lot.

I have offloaded thousands of pallets of water bottles. These are definitely water bottles.

POTUS, Trump is right on the money. Puerto Rico’s troubles have existed for many years with corrupt politics on the island, mainly within the Democrat Party. that is simply why so many Puerto Ricans opted to use their USA citizenship to move into the USA proper, mainly, New York, New Jersey, Florida, etc.

The island which should be the leading shinning “gem stone” of the Caribbean in tourism and off shore production is but, a shadow of what it should be. Actually, POTUS, Trump has saved the island, its hotel business is booming. If the remaining hard working Puerto Rican population ever put the right business driven politicians into office, the island would soon become the most successful “Masterpiece” of the entire Caribbean basin measured by all parameters.!!!

It is truly a shame that such a beautiful island paradise has been so mismanaged by incompetent, criminal Democrat politicians for so many years.

Could we sell Puerto Rico to France and get the money from the Louisiana purchase back? With interest, of course.

Puerto Rico’s a corrupt hellhole that’s attempting a pity party shakedown.

We need to ‘give them their freedom’ and cut them loose. The culture there is typical corrupt ‘south american’...

I do not believe for one little second the inflated ‘death figures’ that are now coming out of Puerto Rico.

That many bodies would have been visible & a serious health hazard after the hurricane passed. To suddenly have 10 times the deaths just doesn’t make a lick of sense.

I suspect that those are are ‘among the missing’ are really somewhere in the USA, and are now voting Democrat in November.
