WASHINGTON — Senator John McCain of Arizona, who has been battling brain cancer for more than a year, will no longer be treated for his condition, his family announced on Friday, a sign that the Republican war hero is most likely entering his final days.
“Last summer, Senator John McCain shared with Americans the news our family already knew: He had been diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma, and the prognosis was serious. In the year since, John has surpassed expectations for his survival. But the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict,” the family said in a statement. “With his usual strength of will, he has now chosen to discontinue medical treatment.”

Glioblastomas are sometimes called grade 4 astrocytoma tumors.
A grade 4 tumor is the most aggressive and fastest-growing type. It can spread throughout the brain very quickly.
Untreated, he will likely expire before the election.
Ideally, the second place candidate for Jeff Flake’s seat, in four days, will get the appointment for McCain’s seat. Since the expectation is for Martha McSally to win, Kelli Ward, who is far more favored by conservatives, will get McCain’s seat.
However, RINOs and those burning with ambition will do anything.

I remember someone from the McCain family (or whoever it came from)saying POTUS wasn’t invited to McCain’s funeral. That was kind of funny at the time as it got me to thinking who sends out invitations to a funeral? I always thought you just showed up.
Oh man...UNO’s pizzeria near downtown Chicago in mid-1960’s...The best pizza I have eaten anywhere, including NY State, Rome and LA.
And only a hundred grand plus. What a deal for farmers.
A grocery store in my area sells the frozen UNO pizzas. It probably isn’t nearly as good as having one in Chicago, but it’ll do!
I try to do it authentic, and bake it in a shallow pan with a thin layer of olive oil. Sometimes I add cornmeal to the crust before I do that.
It’s Friday and I have an empty evening. I think we’ll do family time and I’ll fire up the grill. I think I still have some Red Herring in the freezer.

I have visited other UNO’s pizzeria’s and it was not the same. The original UNO’s baked it in a thick iron pan, with thick crispy crust, imported Italian sausage with fennel seeds, and generous amounts of mozzarella cheese. It was served sizzling hot at the table. What I liked the best there was no sour tomato paste sauce. If I recall correctly, it was sun dried tomatoes, but its been a long time.
I will search here in Jacksonville, FL area if some store carries the frozen kind.
Sounds like he’s right on schedule as to the progression of this brain disease. Actually McCain was on the way out when they diagnosed it.
I will never see McCain as the politicians,media etc. want us to see him. Rather as a traitor to his country, his party, and his family.
His inaction has been the clearest example of power lust than I remember in my lifetime. And there have been other examples aplenty.
Why haven't Arizonians protested his inaction? Surely he isn't beloved by them after his faithless record as a Republican?

His family knows that the release of documents will destroy his “war hero” story so they have decided that now is the time to announce his imminent passing, which I think happened months ago, but they have been waiting for the “right” time for him to die, in order to gain maximum sympathy points.
Many of these well known persons funerals are by invitation only.
