John Elway blames Colin Kaepernick for no job: 'had his chance to be here,' omits key fact

The widespread assumption at this point, when it comes to the future of Colin Kaepernick, is he will not find work in the NFL moving forward. It's tough to get a gig when you're suing your potential employers!

But according to Broncos VP of Football Ops John Elway on Thursday, Kaepernick COULD have a job if he wanted to. In other words, Elway blames Kaepernick for not taking the Broncos offer when it was on the table.

"Colin had his chance here. We offered him a contract. He didn't take it," Elway said. "So, as I said it in my deposition, I don't know if I'll be legally able to say this, but he's had his chance to be here. He passed [on] it."

Here's the video of Elway's comments.

Colin and Omorosa should hook up and invite Stormy over for a threesome.

Yup, and nobody wants to have someone on board who will wreck a team’s moral by going after a teammate’s girlfriend.

So what we’re finding out is that KapperDick is NOT a football player but a rabble-rouser troublemaker.

Tebow is the only under 30 quarterback in NFL history who led his team to the post-season and was not invited back the next year.

Tebow was traded to the Jets after the Broncos signed Peyton Manning. You can't fault Denver for that decision.

Tebow was blackballed because he was an evangelical Christian - period. All this “he couldn’t throw” nonsense is just that. Nonsense.

So how do you explain all the other evangelical Christians who have played and who do play in the NFL? Other than the fact that they have the talent to play at that level and Tebow doesn't?

I’ll take it. Broncos here I come.

Full disclosure - I’m a 47yo NFL rookie who would only play in the NFL if they made it “flag football” because I don’t want to get tackled ;)

Tebow always reminded me of Ed Podolak. It seems to me he could have filled that type of role. Unfortunately the NFL doesn’t have the imagination it used to have.

My understanding is that Tebow wasn't willing to play running back or tight end. He was a QB and wanted to play that position. Even if he had been open to changing, he would be competing against players who had been running backs or tight ends for years. Hard to beat them out.

Sorry Colon, you’re the poster child, THE face of the downfall of the NFL and of increased racial tension and divide in the country.

I believe his record in his last year was something like 2-14.

That was in 2016.

The 49ers traded for Jimmy Garappolo last year and, with pretty much the same supporting cast Kaepernick had, he went 7-0.

What exactly is he protesting?

People of color being oppressed. That those protesting make more than 99.9% of the rest of country doesn't seem to matter.

He was, because Elway hated Tebow's Christianity.

Why Does Broncos Team Executive John Elway Hate Tim Tebow?

Tim Tebow: Is Executive John Elway Sabotaging the Denver Broncos Quaterback?

Image result for tebow denver praying

The Jets never even used Tebow properly, and then it became a league self-licking ice cream cone that he was useless to the NFL and they ruined his career.

So how do you explain all the other evangelical Christians who have played and who do play in the NFL? Other than the fact that they have the talent to play at that level and Tebow doesn't?

Tebow had the talent to play, and did. It is ridiculous to argue otherwise. He was the most recognized evangelical Christian, and the press both castigated and made him famous for being so. The entire characterization of kneeling in prayer as "Tebowing" itself was insulting and mocking. Can you imagine the press mocking a black Muslim player in the same way? The NFL couldn't ruin the career of every single evangelical Christian - but they could (and did) ruin Tebow's. Message sent.

He was given a chance to play with three teams, and failed with all of them. He just isn't an NFL caliber quarterback.

Podolak was a running Iowa QB, he did it. Different NFL then so probably wouldn’t work now.

I think Kap lets his tee shirts do the ‘talking’.

Why not? His tee shirts probably have a higher IQ.

Three teams blackballed him as did the league, and his Christian faith was the primary reason. But the league bends over backwards for black racists, cop haters, and people who piss on the American flag. That should be obvious by now.

If he was blackballed it was because he wasn't very good. Certainly not good enough to perform consistently at the NFL level.

Sure.

https://thelacesout.com/why-no-one-in-the-nfl-wants-tim-tebow-26d93b674ab5

In the 2007 College Football season Tebow threw for 29 TD’s and rushed for 21 more, the most in SEC history. He won the Heisman. In 14 career NFL regular season starts, Tebow is 8–6 with 17 passing TD’s and 12 rushing TD’s. That’s 29 total TD’s in his first 14 games! Keep in mind, Tebow has never entered an NFL season as a starting QB. No off-season program as the starter. No training camp reps as the starter. Never. Yet, other QB’s with far less credentials and far fewer wins, have been given years to develop as a starting NFL QB. YEARS! Tebow never even got ONE.

Tebow’s limitless heart, insatiable will-to-win, strong character, extraordinary work ethic, humility, countless charitable efforts and leadership skills have never been in question. You would think these off-the-chart intangibles alone should be enough to warrant a real opportunity.....If you still don’t think what Tebow did, in winning a playoff game, was truly special — then consider this omnious fact — Tebow became the first Heisman winning QB in 26 years to win an NFL playoff game....In just 3 seasons in the NFL, Tebow managed to win as many playoff games, one, as current NFL starting QB’s Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, Andrew Luck, Tony Romo and Matt Ryan. Oh by the way, that one playoff win came in Tebow’s first career playoff appearance.

Tebow also has the same number of career playoff wins as former multi-year NFL starters, Matt Schaub, Jeff George, Bubby Brister, Rodney Peete, Steve Walsh, Steve Beuerlein, David Garrard, Marc Bulger, Erik Kramer, Elvis Grbac, “Dandy” Don Meredith, Steve Barkowski, Steve DeBerg, Joe Ferguson and David Carr......In his first NFL career start back in 2010 vs Oakland, Tebow rushed for the longest TD run in Broncos history (40 yards) by a QB. In his 2nd start he threw for 308 yards and rallied past the Texans for a 24–23 win, after trailing 17–0 at the half. Tebow became the 1st QB in NFL history to rush for a TD in each of his first 3 starts. You’d think this would have been enough to warrant the starting job the following season.....Tebow went on to start the final 11 regular season games for the Broncos, winning 7 of them, en route to a Broncos AFC West Division Championship.....The Broncos beat the Steelers 29–23 in Overtime. And what about Tebow? The guy who couldn’t “throw” threw for 316 yards and 2 TD’s, including the 80-yard game-winner on the first play in OT.....

Nah…Tebow can’t play QB in the NFL.

So, with all these numbers and accomplishments, Why is Tebow seemingly being black-balled from the NFL? And why isn’t the right question being asked to the right people?

I’m tired of hearing from the traditional sheep herding NFL Coaches and General Managers as to why Tebow can’t make it in the NFL; even though he’s already proven he can. I’m done listening to TV analysts breakdown his faulty mechanics or cite his overall deficiencies as a Quarterback; when the reality is, no other man with Tebow’s significant raw talents and leadership skills have been given less time to develop into a better player. It’s time to hear from those whose voice matters most. 32 individuals sign the checks in today’s NFL. 32 people who can unilaterally hire and fire among NFL teams. Because no one in the national media seems eager to engage anymore in the topic, I decided to personally ask each of the 32 NFL owners the same basic question — ‘Why don’t you want Tim Tebow on your team?’ I emailed the request through the appropriate channels, contacting each team’s Senior PR/Communications executive. I let them know that each of their fellow Owners would be receiving the same exact question. All I wanted in return was an honest, candid answer to a question even a child could address. Surely, a group of adult billionaires, from America’s highest profile sport, who pledge the holy trinity of ethics, family values and character would be able to answer such a simple question. Below are the 32 responses I received (or didn’t) from each team’s PR rep….

And go read the article for the responses by the teams (or lack thereof).
