The widespread assumption at this point, when it comes to the future of Colin Kaepernick, is he will not find work in the NFL moving forward. It's tough to get a gig when you're suing your potential employers!
But according to Broncos VP of Football Ops John Elway on Thursday, Kaepernick COULD have a job if he wanted to. In other words, Elway blames Kaepernick for not taking the Broncos offer when it was on the table.
"Colin had his chance here. We offered him a contract. He didn't take it," Elway said. "So, as I said it in my deposition, I don't know if I'll be legally able to say this, but he's had his chance to be here. He passed [on] it."
Here's the video of Elway's comments.

Yeah, but the Broncos would have never paid that dumb jock what he thinks he is worth ...
These prima donna’s (a very temperamental person with an inflated view of their own talent or importance) in the National Felon League had the chance to continue to make millions and blew it. In five years the NFL will not exist.
He had a very nice offer from SF which he passed on
You get an offer you dont take it......that aint the league blackballung you
According to the article the Broncos offered the Krap a contract before he started kneeling.
What exactly is he protesting? Seriously. I’ve heard some general things, but I honestly don’t know. Has he ever succinctly expressed what he wants to happen?
I think Kap lets his tee shirts do the ‘talking’.
Ping me if you get a good answer. I’ve said #BLM, which is built on a lie, and general “Whites are racist” BS to some Leftists. They laughed at me but then couldn’t say what he’s protesting beyond that.
The NFL died from Colin cancer.
How to take down an entire league ...
My guess is he wants no law enforcement whatsoever; sometimes rich people forget cops are the only thing stopping the gibsmedat mob from stringing them up.
Ray Lewis of all people pegged this CK jerk perfectly last summer when this subject was being covered on ESPN. He basically said CK had no job in the NFL because he doesn’t want to play football anymore.
Hmmm.... wonder what the picture was.
Even if Kap is not being offered a job because of protesting, why would that be wrong? Rossane and Barr lost her job for spouting off. What’s the difference between the two situations? In both cases employers would have decided they don’t need the headaches such employees would bring to theie business. And, agree or disagree with their decisions, employers are well within their right to make such decisions. If you don’t like it, buy a football team (or produce a sitcom) and go ahead and hire these people. That’s how it works.
The NFL is dead. Just doesn’t know it yet.
I expect CK anticipated he might go down in history as an outstanding football player. He’ll go down in history all right. He’ll forever be remembered as the person who annihilated a decades-long national pastime.
I’m OK with that. What a freak.
That’s a lot of hair to stuff into a helmet....
I believe his record in his last year was something like 2-14.
He didn’t get hired because he SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, oh. Elway’s talking sense. (at least the part I’m reading here...)
How long before he’s forced out of a job for being a racist hate-mongering bigot?
great pun!
Kaepernick has permanently lost whatever edge he ever had. If he does get a job as a starting quarterback, he won’t last a season. If he gets a back up job, it will be agony having to put up with his whining.
