Tebow was traded to the Jets after the Broncos signed Peyton Manning. You can't fault Denver for that decision.
Tebow was blackballed because he was an evangelical Christian - period. All this he couldnt throw nonsense is just that. Nonsense.
So how do you explain all the other evangelical Christians who have played and who do play in the NFL? Other than the fact that they have the talent to play at that level and Tebow doesn't?
Tebow always reminded me of Ed Podolak. It seems to me he could have filled that type of role. Unfortunately the NFL doesn’t have the imagination it used to have.
He was, because Elway hated Tebow's Christianity.
Why Does Broncos Team Executive John Elway Hate Tim Tebow?
Tim Tebow: Is Executive John Elway Sabotaging the Denver Broncos Quaterback?
The Jets never even used Tebow properly, and then it became a league self-licking ice cream cone that he was useless to the NFL and they ruined his career.
So how do you explain all the other evangelical Christians who have played and who do play in the NFL? Other than the fact that they have the talent to play at that level and Tebow doesn't?
Tebow had the talent to play, and did. It is ridiculous to argue otherwise. He was the most recognized evangelical Christian, and the press both castigated and made him famous for being so. The entire characterization of kneeling in prayer as "Tebowing" itself was insulting and mocking. Can you imagine the press mocking a black Muslim player in the same way? The NFL couldn't ruin the career of every single evangelical Christian - but they could (and did) ruin Tebow's. Message sent.
