There have been quite a few stories about Ginsburg lately - all emphasizing her health. How she exercises, etc.

Almost like there is a media strategy to reassure democrats or something.

I wish someone would ask her why she doesn’t just leave and enjoy retirement while she still can. We all know the real answer. Kennedy was pretty candid about waiting for a president who would select someone philosophically similar to him. But, leftists are pathological liars. Besides, I’m sure she wouldn’t want Trump to have the last laugh if she’s frank about waiting for his successor to pick her successor and then Satan suddenly calls her home.

I worked for the water department for 15 years
You get all the holidays off with pay
1 sick day a month
1annual day a month
2 floating holidays
And your birthday
Total 43 paid days off a year
Insurance is paid for yourself
Management gets family coverage free
Since I was salaried if I showed up, I could leave and get paid for the day.
There was people I didn’t even know what they did making 60K

Exactly.

“Pride goeth before a fall.”

She’s in control of nothing.

If she goes and Thomas retires, that’ll be FOUR SCOTUS Trump picks potentially in his first term!

She’s in the top 5 of longevity among Supreme Court justices.
I just eyeballed the dates but I came up with:

1. Oliver Wendell Holmes, 1841-1935. 94 at death, 91 at retirement.
2. Roger B. Taney, 1777-1864. 87 at death, 87 at retirement.
3. Harry Blackmun, 1908-1999. 91 at death, 86 at retirement.
4. Hugo Black, 1886-1971. 85 at death, 85 at retirement.

Ginsburg would surpass Hugo Black early next term.

I was a bit surprised that William O. Douglas was only 77 at retirement and 82 at death. Even his liberal colleagues thought he should have retired years before he did. There was a gentlemen’s agreement among the other justices that his vote would not be determinative.

Hoping is OK, but it depends on a lot of things, a major one is her health.
