A $40 million yacht owned by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was reportedly untied from the dock at a northern Ohio marina and set adrift.
The captain of the 163-foot yacht, named "Seaquest," called the Huron Police Department early Sunday morning when the crew realized the boat was floating in the Huron Boat Basin, The Toledo Blade reported.
The yacht hit a dock, causing between $5,000 and $10,000 in damage, the newspaper added, citing a police report.
Investigators are hoping surveillance footage will show who untied the yacht from the dock.
It is one of 10 boats owned by DeVos and her family, according to the newspaper.
It is unclear why the Michigan family's boat was in northern Ohio, the Blade noted.
DeVos is one of the wealthiest members of President Trumps Cabinet.
Business Insider reported in February that DeVos and her husband, former Amway CEO Dick DeVos, have an estimated net worth around $1.3 billion.
While I am prone to agree with you I acknowledge that it's a matter between her and Jesus and really none of my business.
And, should those hold true, Jesus would probably want me and my mother, who is on dialysis, to move out of our modest, overpriced house and take up residence in that hovel of a motel on the other side of my town. Sheesh.
All wrong. The yacht broke loose because the maritime school that taught how to tie a yacht knot was federally funded.
The Vatican passively indicates that Jesus loves walls.....
On reflection, your reply was a bit harsh. Amwayer’s are not a cult, just “aspiring entrepreneurs” starting their own business where you can reach the top of your own pyramid so long as you can find ten pyramid levels worth of other aspiring entrepreneurs who will commit to buying $100 worth of laundry detergent every month...Laundry detergent s something everyone needs, right? ;)
What is the price point at which it becomes OK to damage someone’s property?
Ive got a 15 foot skiff. Ya figure hes ok with it?

Ah, the ol’ Good Enough for Government Work thing . . .
Why not? Jesus doesn’t disapprove of wealth any more than he supports poverty. Jesus wasn’t a socialist, who think they know what everyone needs.
For water walkers, a small basket for three fish is all they need.
[[”You know, I just cant see Jesus being ok with a $40,000,000 boat.”]]
Jesus told the onlookers not to criticize when the woman poured expensive perfume on His feet instead of giving the money to the poor
Why?
And Betsy De Vos is one of Trumps best picks. Shes actually working so that poor kids can have the same chance at education as that of children whose parents have $40 million yachts. And then maybe they can go on and get their own yachts someday!
But the left is bitterly opposed to anyone having a chance at a good life.
As a lifelong boater, that picture gives me an enormous stiffy!
Terrorism, plain and simple.
Further back, that was Jimmy Carter's 25% luxury tax along with the gas shortage and resulting gas station lines. It destroyed the boating industry.....
Here in S.E. Michigan, boating is a huge. Not only did boat sales come to a screeching halt but all auto workers who lost their jobs couldn't sell their boats.......
The marinas along Lake St. Clair were filled with boats in dry dock by owners who couldn't afford to use them or had them up for sale.
I’m rather proud that someone who can afford a $40 million yacht would put up with all she has to serve our country.
