I often work with a fellow from Mexico who is actually one of those who came legally. Of course he has family back there and I asked him why the hell do they insist on coming here. He told me it is largely that his class isnt wanted and are scared to death of all the killings down there.
He told me that it costs over a grand to get smuggled into the USA, if they go that route, and that now, the drug syndicates are using them to bring drugs into this country. DO IT OR ELSE. The money they make here is sent back there to either pay for the coyotes or pay protection from the drug gangs.
I told him that why would anyone pay to get smuggled here when they could use that cash to pay a good immigration lawyer to help them come in legally.
They are so ignorant, they havent thought of that.
We need to put the military on the border or invade that sht hole of a country again to put an end to this son of a b%^hery.
They should have saved those thousands of dollars and waited in line with their fellow citizens applying for legal entry to the U.S.
