Where’s the likes of Simon Bolivar, heck even Che & Fidel to get the peasants to rise up against the ruling cartels. In this case, it’s not the plantation owners and cattle ranchers of yore, but the bloody drug barons.

Which is why they absolutely *love* the badly controlled US border - it allows that population to bleed out and away, who would otherwise be stuck there to fester and plot against them. The peasants become someone else's problem, which is fine by them.
