My bet is that McCain, or whoever is speaking for him, will be a jackass, period. I have a feeling McCain is laying in a hospital bed, hooked to morphine drip and couldn't form a coherent sentence if he tried. The sad thing is, he's too arrogant to resign even when it's clear he will never be back to DC and can't represent his state as Senator.

It’s quite possible that the only reason Kennedy retired when he did was a gentlemen’s agreement he made with President Trump that the president would appoint Kavanagh, who is Kennedy’s former clerk and friend.
I know that he has been wanting to retire, but also he was willing to hang on if necessary.
Expect a special counsel to be appointed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the appointment of Kavanagh with a view to possible impeachment.
Okay, that last bit was satire. Or was it?
