Klayman Supports Barrett for SCOTUS Seat, Says Democrats Are "Trying to Smear Her"

Judicial Watch's founder and conservative former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman supports Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill a soon-to-be vacated Supreme Court seat — but thinks Democrats are “already trying to smear her.”

Klayman said he likes that Barrett — reportedly one of President Donald Trump’s leading contenders for nomination — is not a graduate of either Harvard or Yale law schools.

“From what I’ve read about her, I like Judge Barrett,” Klayman said. “She's obviously a woman. That’s good. Politically it’s going to be hard for the Democrats to have much objection to her. But they’re already trying to smear her” over her Catholic faith.

Klayman supports Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the Supreme Court seat — but thinks Democrats are “already trying to smear her over her Catholic faith.”

Klayman said he likes that Barrett ... is not a graduate of either Harvard or Yale law schools.

He also blasted Dianne Feinstein for her criticism of Barrett in 2017 when she went before the Senate Judiciary Committee after she was appointed by Trump to the Court of Appeals. At the time, Feinstein questioned whether Barrett’s religion would have any impact on her rulings from the bench. “It’s a bigoted statement,” he said. “It’s unbelievable that this would be raised by Dianne Feinstein. John F. Kennedy wouldn’t have been president if people had opposed him on his Catholic faith.”

Klayman also railed at lower courts that repeatedly knocked down Trump’s travel ban.

“The president has lost it nearly every lower court level. And he's won consistently in front of the Supreme Court… what it tells me is that you’ve got a lot of leftist hack judges at the lower court level.”

Save the women's seat for RBG when you're gonna need it politically

You should be a chief strategist for President Trump.

She’s not “Chicago Circuit Judge”; she’s “7th Circuit Judge”, and her home is in the South Bend, Indiana area. I believe that she has chambers in the federal building in South Bend, as well as at the federal building in Chicago where the court is headquartered.

Very simple — she can’t let go of power. She doesn’t need the money — she’s worth something like $30 million (her late husband was a prominent tax attorney and law professor in DC, and was once a law partner of Sargent Shriver).

The only way she leaves the Supremes is when she dies.

The preemptive smear campaign says they’re scared sh**less of this woman. If they really thought they could sink her, they’d have waited until after her nomination to do so, so there would be time to nominate another judge before the midterms. If Schumer himself is already unloading now, it seems to me it’s a sign they don’t think they have enough ammo against her to stop her after the nomination.

“Politically it’s going to be hard for the Democrats to have much objection to her.”

WRONG! Democraps are genetically incapable of not objecting to anything proposed or said by Trump. Their psychotic rage prevents them from grasping the obvious, massive hypocrisy of their objections.

What a Barrett nomination would do is make it easy for conservatives to expose liberal duplicity and to laugh at them as their heads explode.

I don’t understand why some of the geriatrics like Ginsburg are sticking in there. Anyone with half a brain could see there’s a very good chance that Trump will be re-elected - do they really hope to stick it out until 2024, and the hopes that a Democrat will be elected THEN who can pick their replacement? Ruth would be 91! Are their egos really THAT big?

Another pizz poor editing job.

The article states..."Klayman supports Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett..."

Makes it sound like she runs a Night Court.

If the Dems spend another week screaming about her they’ll have a hard time cranking up the outrage all over again for Thapar or Kethledge.

Regarding Ginsburg, “The only way she leaves the Supremes is when she dies”. not sure about that either she has looked dead often and they just prop her up.

Dems will vilify anyone Trump nominates. God couldn’t pass wth those loons.

Stay clear of Barrett. A law professor at Notre Dame, a very liberal college that even covered religious statues to please Obama. Little or no record of her decisions from the bench. Did she go to Haiti to adopt kids to enhance her resume’? What’s wrong with adopting poor suffering American kids? Where will she stand om affirmative action, immigration, death penalty, etc.? We all know where the Catholic Church stands.

How many years ago did he hang himself?

She’s not from Chicago. Trump nominated her to the 7th Circuit CoA, which is in Chicago. She is from New Orleans, and went to Notre Dame, and was a law professor there.

“I don’t understand why some of the geriatrics like Ginsburg are sticking in there. “

Because their identity and their job are one. If they retire they’d be dead in weeks and they know it.

She doesn’t need to hold on until trump is out of office - she needs to hold on until the senate is controlled by democrats - could happen in Nov - if it doesn’t, she’ll probably die on the bench trying to hold on.
