All eyes are on Starbucks. And not because it’s rolling out a new caffeinated drink.
Tomorrow Starbucks is shutting down its more than 8,000 locations across the county to conduct racial bias training for its 175,000 employees.
Some critics, mainly on social media, see it as political correctness gone too far. Others welcome the training.
It comes nearly seven weeks after two black men waiting at a Starbucks in Philadelphia were arrested when a store manager called the police.
Since their April 12 arrest, Rashon Nelson and Donte Robinson have reached a settlement with the city: A payment of $1 to each in exchange for the creation of a $200,000 fund to help young entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.
Starbucks has experienced a backlash of criticism and calls for a boycott. Earlier this month, it announced a new policy that allows anyone to use its spaces, including restrooms, cafes and patios, regardless of whether they make a purchase. Company executives said its previous policies were loose and ambiguous, leaving decisions on whether people could sit in its stores or use the restroom up to store managers.

In the summer, I much prefer McAfee ice coffee at McDonalds.
It tastes good and is very inexpensive, unlike Starsucks.

The beginning of the end for Starbucks. Capitulation to the forces on the politically correct/SJW/Progressive side of the ledger is not a positive move - give these Leftist goons an inch, they take a mile and no amount of bowing and scraping is ever enough for them. Meanwhile, you alienate whatever “normie” portion of your customer base that exists. Lose - lose.

On his weekend show, Greg Gutfeld’s spoof suggested that Starbuck’s charge to use the restrooms and give away free coffee.
Its not “training” they’re doing. Its ideological indoctrination of their employees.
Forget the bias training, just close your damn doors. There are many other places to purchase good/better coffee and, at a lot lower price. Starbucks coffee is nothing but a rip off.
“StarBugs” needs to do a lot of house cleaning before they look like a financially viable American company.
They got caught as the unintended elitists they are. The rules about bathroom use should've been posted and enforced at all times. I've NEVER liked the "holier than thou" attitude of Starbucks, about everything.
Those two guys found a weakness and exploited it. Fact is, if they needed to use a bathroom, many places such as McD's have bathrooms accessible to all. Or they could've ordered a small cup of coffee.
Oh I'm sure the democrat millenials won't mind sharing their laptops with stew bums.

Yeah, you just wonder when their Social Progressive Capo executive management comes hard up against the lack of money in their wallets, what will happen. My bet is that their wallets will win, because they can't “right this wrong” with “other people's money!” That “other people's money” is coming from their patrons, not spending it with them either because they think this is all bull$hit, or more practically because they can't get a seat because of the “black entrepreneurs” who have preempted all the chairs to work on their "business plans," and relieve themselves.
