U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley slammed the United Nations on Tuesday for pushing an investigation into the measures Israel took to secure its border during violent clashes with Hamas-backed insurgents earlier this week.

After she concluded her speech, she walked out of the chamber when a Palestinian representative began to speak.

I assume this was the UN General Assembly. The UN General Assembly is a worthless fount of bloviation, and we can walk out as often as we wish.

The UN Security Council we don’t walk out of, since we must be present to use our veto. Ask the Soviets how walking out worked out for them at the start of the Korean War.

...I think the reality that North Korea came to....will occur with the Palestinians shortly.
______________________________________________

I disagree. I don’t think the Palestinians will EVER come to any reality because their inborn hatred for Israel and the hypocrisy of their “religion” will not allow it. There is something fundamentally wrong with a society that has mothers strapping bombs on their five year old kids and sending them out to be “martyrs”.

FatBoy Kim is an entirely different situation. His wake-up came from China, and Kim is smart enough to heed the hand that feeds him.

Few non-Palestinians give a crap what happens to anyone in Gaza. Egypt, Syria, Iran and a couple others may make noises, but they really don’t care. By rights Jordan should take them in, as they were once the biggest part of the British Protectorate of Palestine, but Jordan wants nothing to do with them. It would appear Israel cares more for them than any of their own kin in the region, supplying them with fuel, electricity and water. And look what Israel gets in return...nary a thank you, not even a recognition in the world media for their efforts, just more curses, kidnappings, bombs, rockets, and never-ending hatred.

The Palestinian people aren’t too bright.

It is not Politically Correct today to label or stereotype but when we look at reality, on the ground we do indeed see Islam killing itself, faction by faction and non-Muslims too, one at a time or in groups. The Islamic faith keeps it’s people in the 7th Century and causes them to be violent.

Absolutely.

And today, Israel is the economic and cultural powerhouse of the middle east, much to the chagrin and rage of her Islamic neighbors.

Israel has gone from being a wasteland, to this in just a few decades:

Meanwhile, Gaza (given back to the Muslims), now looks like this:

I like that. When I piss the wife off and I decide to be obstinate that is exactly what she does. Then I have to tuck my tale, come to her and apologize. Will the Pals get that message?

In the early 90s I remember talking to a Brit. He was very angry at the Israelis. When I compared the PLO to the IRA, he went red with anger.

The logical fallacy is “Post hoc ergo propter hoc.”

You commit the inverse: you see something, and suppose it to be the result of an also-presumed cause, yet you have no substantiation for either your supposition or your presumption.

By that standard of logic we can arrive next at disreputable locales in which the Earth is flat, man never went to the Moon, and you’ll have Sasquatch to tea.

Imminently applicable, here, is the timeworn admonition to “Keep it real.” Conservatives rarely appear more loony than when giving factual status to slipshod guesses, and this is such a credibility destroyer — it’s such bad optics — we cannot afford to indulge it in the least. The instant we do, some media outlet will spin it up into a fresh tempest of oh-so-pious holier-then-thou-ism for leftists to bludgeon Conservatism with.

I’ve no problem with guesses, but do state them openly as such. Don’t ingratiate any idea with factual status unless it shows up to the ball with Stone Cold Proof on its arm.

(selected portions from):
Anti-Israel Double Standard- by Joseph M. Sabag
.... It is anti-Semitic to deny the historic fact of the Holocaust. Why denying the historic fact of the Jewish People’s connection to the Land of Israel is not?

Why was it anti-Semitic for the Nazis to seek a Judenrein Europe, yet repeated Arab calls for a Judenrein Palestinian state remain entirely uncriticized?

Why do placating statements made by Arab leaders in English tend to matter, while their incendiary statements made in Arabic don’t?

How can the United Nations and its apparatuses ignore the suffering of so many millions of innocent people around the world, yet allow the routine slander and demonization of Israel to stand on its agenda?

Wow ... talk about going off course.

I’m not the one who supposed that “Haley’s boss has thrown in the towel on peace in the Middle East.”

Trump himself recapitulated U.S. commitment to peace in his remarks at the opening of the new embassy in Jerusalem. So, I can’t reconcile your comment with what this Administration is saying is the case.

Do you seriously think Trump doesn’t mean what he just stated so plainly, or did I miss a set of invisible /SARC tags?

Nope. Nikki “wavered in the wind” on several conservative issues in the past.

We want leaders, not opportunists.

Good....

The U.S.A. should kick the U.N. out of the U.S.A.

I'd suggest the new HQ's be in Haiti.
