From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. Its the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream. Produced by the team behind the Academy-Award® winning Get Out.
I saw the title and was thinking, finally, a movie on BLM, black panthers, black caucus, NAACP, AND black gangs.
Propaganda films.
I see the trailer has the Klan chanting “America First”. No hollywood film is complete without insinuating Trump is like the Klan.
The movie ends with last years Charlotte NC events.
Even though it has nothing to do with the actual story.
Tells me all I need to know.
So the premise of this movie is that the black cop goes to the Klan meetings in their robes but a white cop meets with them face to face. How does that make sense? Why not just have a white cop do both?
Spike Lee attacked Trump at Cannes, using lots of profanity. And yet he accuses conservatives of being filled with hate. More leftist projection.
A new film by the over-rated-because-of-affirmative-action Spike Lee = No Sale for me.
