The person who stabbed five people in Paris on Saturday night, killing one, yelled the Arabic phrase "Allahu Akbar," meaning "God is great," during the attack, city prosecutor François Molins told reporters at the scene.
Four people were wounded during the Saturday night knife attack in the touristy 2nd arrondissement, or district, of Paris.
Two of the victims were gravely wounded and two others were lightly injured, police said
The attacker, who French President Emmanuel Macron called a terrorist, is dead, according to police.
The media wing of ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement published online.
The Amaq News Agency said "the person who executed the stabbing in Paris is a soldier of the Islamic State." The statement also said the assailant acted in response to calls to attack anti-ISIS coalition countries.
ISIS did not provide proof to substantiate the claim and no authorities or security sources have yet verified the authenticity of the ISIS claim.
Macron said he salutes the courage of the police who "neutralized the terrorist" in the Paris knife attack, according to a tweet from his official account Saturday. He says his thoughts are with the victims.

You can walk down the streets of Paris without being knifed to death, but after today’s incident you can no longer walk down the streets of Paris without FEARING being knifed to death.
Which reduces the quality of life for Parisiennes and hurts the French tourism industry.
But what is the answer when Europeans promote Muslim terrorism?
Apparently it’s all right for French policemen to kill the Muslim terrorists of ISIS in order to defend Frenchmen, but Europeans scream bloody murder when Israeli policemen kill Muslim Palestinian terrorists to defend Israelis.
And which country, beloved of today’s Europeans, is the greatest state sponsor of Palestinian terrorism but Iran?
Apparently, as long as terrorists are killing Israelis it’s wonderful, but when they start killing Europeans that’s when they get upset.

Right you are. It infuriates me when the media - ignorantly or deliberately - mistranslates that phrase. “Allahu Akbar” implies absolute superiority, and domination.
It is in the same league as the Nazi slogans.

That’s actually true. The “Asians” don’t stab you anymore. They just throw acid in your face.
Absolutely correct (as someone who long ago studied Arabic and lived in the Muslim world). The phrase is an affirmation of the superiority of Islam over all other religions. This oft-repeated nonsense that they are only “praising God” is maddeningly deceptive.
Enjoy London, we live in Stuttgart and have visited Paris, Edinburgh, London, Rome, and have an upcoming visit to Prague.
In Paris and Rome there is a very visible military/police presence. Which is probably why this individual only killed one person. In Britain, it is not overt, taking common sense anti-crime measures: be aware of your surroundings, don’t advertise yourself as a tourist, etc. should be sufficient to protect yourself from most likely issues over here.
Unfortunately, over here, the best anti-crime/terrorism measure, concealed carry, is not an option.
P.S. Useful tip: It is much cheaper to get your foreign currency directly from ATMs (the Brits call them cash machines) than currency exchange places. If you want some before you leave, AAA offers sets that are cheaper than the airport exchange desks.

This is what horrible liberals want to happen in the USA which is why they have changed laws to allow more people from muslim countries to immigrant into the US One only has to look at Minneapolis and Dearborn Michigan to see the results.
In short, liberals want you dead and they have no problem importing millions of muslims, who hate christians by default, to do their dirty work for them. And anyway who complains is silenced by being called a racist or a bigot.
