Idea stolen from https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/88qe65/i_dont_understand_googles_easter_doodle_am_i/ where one of the commenters observes: "Because it’s a Christian holiday, not a day dedicated to the poetry of an 18th century handicapped Cuban/Native American/Icelandic genderqueer communist suffragist that nobody cares about."

I would have expected the google search bar to be dressed up with easter bunnies and eggs and stuff.

I guess they didn’t want to do anything that even vaguely points to a special day called Easter so they make it look like it’s just another day.

Is it Cesar Chavez’s Birthday celebration again?

A typical secular page from a supremely secular company. Was not the first time and surely won’t be the last.

Why is this surprising? There was one year, I think 2013, that Easter aligned with Cesar Chavez’s birthday, and guess which of those two Google chose to celebrate.

Some Americans of today are as suspicious and fearful of Christianity as my generation was about Black Magik, Voodoo, Communism or certain then-taboo perversions. It’s very sad how many have been conditioned by their schools or their peer groups. There has been a slow, steady erosion of respect for this faith. Some of it triggered by the sexual harrassment lawsuits of 20 years ago.

For many of the unchurched, it’s considered ‘Cool, or enlightened’ to mock or be contemptuous of anything that is genuinely inspired by the Bible.
It’s acceptable to ‘pretend’ or make utility of the symbols, but not to take such spirituality in a serious, respectful way.

This is perhaps the stupidest hobby of the perpetually offended. Google doesn’t do the big everybody knows about them days. They just don’t. Going to Google just to bitch they aren’t celebrating your big everybody knows about it holiday is simply deciding to get mad for the sake of anger. Really, get over it, celebrate your holiday without needing to get mad at somebody.

Easy. The left suppresses all mention of things they hate and are in process of eliminating. Easter is a major Christian holiday, and has got to go. I would have thought that it would be enough to turn it into bunnies, eggs and chocolate rabbits. Just like they’ve turned Christmas into trees, santas, sleighs and snow.

End goal: de-Christianize the country then turn it over to the muzzies.

"Withdraw from Christendom the Bible, the Church with its sacraments and ministry, and Christian morality and hopes, and aspirations for time and eternity; repeal all the laws that are founded in the Christian Scriptures; remove the Christian humanities in the form of hospitals and asylums, and reformatories and institutions of mercy utterly unknown to unchristian countries; destroy the literature, the culture, the institutions of learning, the art, the refinement, the place of woman in her home and in society, which owe their origin and power to Christianity; blot out all faith in Divine Providence, love, and righteousness; turn back every believer in Christ to his former state; remove all thought or hope of the forgiveness of sins by a just but gracious God; erase the name of Christ from every register it sanctifies—in a word annihilate all the legitimate and logical effects of Christianity in Christendom—just accomplish in fact what multitudes of gifted and learned minds are wishing and trying to accomplish by their science, philosophy, and criticism, and what multitudes of the common people desire and seek, and not only would all progress toward and unto perfection cease, but not one of the shining lights of infidelity would shine much longer. Yes, the bitterest enemies of this holy and blessed religion, owe their ability to be enemies to its sacred revelations - to the inspiration and sublimity of that faith which reflects its glories on their hostile natures. They live in the strength of that which they would destroy. They are raised to their seats of opportunity and power by the grace of Him they would crucify afresh; and is it to be thought that they are stronger than that which gives them strength? Can it be supposed that a religion which civilizes and subdues, and elevates and blesses will succumb to the enmities it may arouse and quicken in its onward march? Are we to tremble for the ark of God when God is its upholder, and protector, and preserver?” - Dr. Benjaming W. Arnett, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Urbana, Ohio, Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon, November 1876
Dr. Arnett, an A.M.E. Minister and Ohio State Legislator, was invited to publish his remarkable sermon commemorating the Centennial of the Declaration of Independence--an Address which contained this powerful statement. The address can be read online at the Library of Congress, African-American Section.

Not just non-believers, satanists. Don’t believe me? Do a search for an image of satanic sigil, and then compare that with Google Play. Then do a search for an image of the satanic image Define King symbol.

I don’t do google except when I need a map. Duck Duck
Go works just as well and you don’t get ads popping up as they don’t track the websites that you visit.

I don't understand people who expected Google to recognize Easter.
