Kroger subsidiary Fred Meyer announced they will no longer sell firearms and ammunition.
The superstore has been selling guns and ammo at roughly 45 stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
On March 1, Kroger reacted to the Parkland school shooting by announcing that Fred Meyer would no longer sell guns and ammo. Nine days later, on March 10, Kroger was sued by 20-year-old Airion Grace for refusing to sell him a box of shotgun shells.

That is their choice. At least they didn’t go for the backbone lacking politically correct meaningless move of liming sales to whatever age (or insert current progressive lemming call here) topic of conversation dominating the MSM clowns that day.

I’m guessing up in Alaska you can get guns and ammo at the local Dairy Queen.
They like Cabela’s were always a bit high on their stuff. SportsmanOutdoorWharehouse is a pretty good source for both and deliver ammunition right to your door; firearms to your FFL dealer.

There you have the real reason! Low sales will do that. Hell, I didn’t even know they were selling guns or ammo. No loss, there are other places to buy from/
Speaking from knowledge, carrying guns was relatively new to the Fred Meyer Store in my area. I remember being very surprised to learn they were carrying them. Fred’s hasn’t carried guns as a product for a year if that. There are other more experienced gun stores from which to purchase arms.
I find these virtue-signaling moves fascinating. Were people threatening to not shop there because they sold ammo? Are they hoping to attract more progressives to their stores? If that is the case, whatever increase they see in lefty traffic will be met by a 10 fold decrease in patriot traffic. The net result will be less traffic and fewer sales. Pure idiocy.

IMO there is one key reason why large companies make these decisions.
Their marketing departments are all staffed with Millenial female snowflakes who earned degrees at Liberal university indoctrination centers and who are addicted to social media. Five astroturfed tweets from activists saying they’ll never shop there again if the company does not virtue signal, and they’re running to the CEO like Chicken Littles screaming the sky if falling and it’s imperative that you must DO SOMETHING or it’s all gonna hit the fan.
The CEO, believing that he pays them to handle this, and he has better things to do with his time, nods and acquiesces before heading off to his next round of golf.
