Following his termination late Friday night, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe declared that he was “singled out” after “unrelenting” attacks by President Trump and critics. McCabe’s objections are less than credible, given the virtually unprecedented recommendation of career officials to fire the one-time acting FBI director.
However, McCabe may have rectified his “singled out” status with his long statement criticizing his termination: In the middle of it is a line that could be viewed as incriminating fired FBI director James Comey, not just in leaking sensitive information but also in lying to Congress.
McCabe is accused of misleading investigators about allegedly giving information to a former Wall Street Journal reporter about the investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family’s charitable foundation. McCabe asserts in his post-firing statement that he not only had authority to “share” that information to the media but did so with the knowledge of “the director.” The FBI director at the time was Comey.
“I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor,” McCabe stated. “As deputy director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter.”
If the “interaction” means leaking the information, then McCabe’s statement would seem to directly contradict statements Comey made in a May 2017 congressional hearing. Asked if he had “ever been an anonymous source in news reports about matters relating to the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation” or whether he had “ever authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports about the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation,” Comey replied “never” and “no.”

It sounds like McCabe may be pissed enough to roll over on the lot of them. It could have been strategic to nail him first.
He’s guilty. The difference between Obama and the President? Trump doesn’t care what party you are. Obama covered up crimes.
It is no wonder that McCabe is pissed. He just lost the better part of $1.8 million. Might even have to sell his house to pay his legal bills. Comey is cashing book royalty checks and going on the talk circuit. Comey is raking in the dough and McCabe is out of a job with no pension. Hey he still has a red Porsche.
I believe his retirement at age 50 with at least 20 years service was based on a special provision for law enforcement officials. He could not qualify for reemployment in a law enforcement capacity because of his dismissal for cause. If he were to be employed in a non law enforcement capacity, he would need to meet a different requirement. Two days employment as a clerk would not qualify him.
They are now paying the price for changing their job descriptions from "law enforcement personnel" to "political operative" ... because any protections they had in their jobs as FBI agents doesn't stand up to legal scrutiny once the facts are out in the open.
McCabe would still be a senior leader in the FBI today if he had functioned as a law enforcement officer instead of a political operative.

What is so frightening about these people is that they claim their cause is just, that anything they do is justified whether it is illegal or not.
If ever there was evidence of the mindset of the entitled left it’s McCabe’s meltdown. They thought they owned all three branches of government, including the electoral process. Thank god for Trump.

Now, hopefully, everyone can settle down and get back to the country’s business including indictments for the criminals. And that is a long list and it includes McCabe.
McCabe is not nor ever has been a Republican. Mueller ceased being one years ago, long before he started conspiring with Neo-Soviets like Brennan.

Roger that. I don't think he has any political smarts. If he did, he would told his wife to not run for VA senate until he retired a few years later. However, I suspect she wouldn't have received any PAC funding after he retired..
That is the biggest weakness of the Left and the one we may be able to use to bring our Republic back.
They have overstepped their bounds as they think they own enough of the levers of power to be out in the open with their lawbreaking but they aren't there yet. If we real Americans now go for the throat we can now stop them. Their necks are stretched out and we can chop the head off.
Republican Rep. Charlie Dent (Pa.) said Saturday that the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Friday looked to be a "vindictive" move by the president.
“If Sessions was up to the task, McCabe would not be right now publicly trashing the President and bitching about his lost pension but instead begging for less years in a federal prison.”

All double speak. Comey didn’t “authorize” it because he said to McCabe “you can authorize it yourself”. these guys are dishonorable frauds. McCabe says he was 100% honest. IG says he lied under oath and OPR said fire him. Both sides can’t be right.
