My old bones hear your old bones...resting is good for them.
Can’t wait for the weekend.
The only flowers we’re worried about are the blossoms on the pear trees. The wind died down so there’s a chance for frost tonight, unless the wind picks up a little again.
It’s already down to 25 and that’s colder than the weathergal predicted.
Maybe you won’t get much snow this time around. The ducks are probably tired of their corn getting covered up all the time and would appreciate it. :-)
I haven’t heard frogs here since I was a kid. I kind of like that sound! I think that would be a great way to celebrate for those eagles after what they’ve been through!
Wow! Really? It’s been that long since you’ve lived where frogs sing at night? Ugh! Nope, I could never live in a desert area. After the quiet nights of winter, it’s a joy to step outside and hear their chorus. There were frogs singing a week or so ago when it was warm those few days but they’ve gone back underground for now.
Yes, a celebration is in order! But since I don’t drink, champagne is out. LOL! Sparkling cider will have to suffice.
Perfect headache song, mountainlion!! Are you still in the 50s?
Cool your sister plans to visit for a few days. Sounds like y’all will be busy but it’ll be a more relaxed atmosphere this time.
Don’t blame you a bit for thinking about a condo. You have a lot more room than you need at the house and not having to deal with maintenance is a huge plus!
I hope whoever ends up with the house likes ducks. Your lil buddies will miss you.
Well, we don’t have any ponds to speak of except a couple and I don’t think I’ve been to them after dark. Mosquitoes, ya know. LOL!
They must have been excited when it warmed up and now I’ll bet they’re underground grumbling about the roller coaster like we’ve been. :) I’ll bet it’s nice to listen to them on a warm night with the window open. If you can open your windows. I love to do that, but these cats. They’d claw the screen to bits. Would yours, too?
Have the owls been back to DH? I’ve been watching a show and haven’t checked lately. As a matter of fact, I need to finish it and get some sleep.
I couldn’t doze off last night and I’ll bet it was close to 4am when I finally did. I was afraid to look, because it would have ticked me off and kept me up even later. Or earlier, as it were.
See ya tomorrow for tunes. I just gotta figure out what to play.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. How's it going?
The ponds around us are just low spots in fields that water stands in after it rains. And there’s the lake at the back of the farm. You don’t have to be real close to them to hear the frogs when they crank up. They’re loud!
I don’t reckon they’re any happier than we are about the cold coming back. LOL
We do open a couple of windows during spring unless the pollen count is way up. The cats don’t mess with the screens too much.
I haven’t checked in on any nests for a little while so don’t know if the owl went back. Last nest I checked on was the one in Estonia and since both eagles were there, I watched a few minutes. It’s snowing like crazy there. *sigh* It’s gotta stop.
I’ve been back into family tree stuff again. My oldest cousin emailed and asked if I’d look into another branch to see if I’d have any luck. I tried before when helping Dad with this stuff and didn’t get very far but I’m using different methods tonight. Having a little luck this time.
That’s why the birds have been ignored. LOL
Catch ya tomorrow evening. Hope you have a good day!
Hi Beachie! Hi Kathy — Gut Shabbos!
LOL. That's true. Lately, I seem to be sharing the duty with one of her sisters, which is good for me.
Been playing around with the family tree quite a bit in the meantime.
The oldest son and I are doing the AncestryDNA, so we can dig into the past.
Good morning Ma ((HUG))
That's awesome news. If we didn't have dogs, I'd be happy with a ground floor condo or a building with an elevator.
And I'm with you on the maintenance thing. I live in small house but getting tired of all that's required; inside and out.
Plus, I've been trying to convince my 85+ parents of the same thing. But you know how them "old" people are.
Of course, Mr. Beachy says we are only moving one more time, so I have to be choosy. LOL
#1 son has asked us to move into an inlaw apartment when he retires and moves to the country.
It's a waiting game now.
Good luck on the cleaning and donating and storing and sister visit.
Good morning EG ((HUGS))
Finally getting caught up on pings.
Howz it out your way?
Good morning Mooch ((HUGS))
How goes it where you are?
No shoveling today!
It’s FROZEN SOLID.
Good thing I shoveled YESTERDAY!
Good Morning (((HUGS))) Ya, finally made it to Denver where I stayed overnight - now I have to get to Dallas for my firearm yearly training. It’s for two days. Then back to Denver and home.
It’s going OK. Just finished up the grass cutting for the week. Yard looks good right now.
LOL! You were right there. I just knew you’d beat me out, but it was fun getting it. ;)
