Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday that if Republicans pass an immigration plan that allows citizenship they will lose the majority in Congress this November.
Mark my words, if Republican majorities in Congress pass citizenship for millions of people, do amnesty, I think it is quite likely we will lose both houses of Congress, Mr. Cruz, Texas Republican, said on Fox News.

Presidents Jivanka strike again!
Let’s hope Trump somehow holds some sort of line—but he’s been trying to show his “big heart” by bidding against himself on this for upwards of a year now.
This x 10,000!!!
The GOP must run Pro-America Pro Trump candidates.
No more running people because its “their turn” lest we lose Congress & likely the nation.
I know, I was distracted by my wife in the middle of doing that post. You snooze, you lose.
ALINSKYs RULES FOR RADICALS
Rule 12:
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and
isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than
institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
Shut up Ted.
But the dumbasses will probably think: “Where are they going to go? vote democrat?”
Which is the usual assholery we’ve gotten from RINO’s for decades.
Ted is right. What’s the point of electing Trump if they’re going to do the same thing Bush and Obama did?
Sadly Ted Cruz is grandstanding and talking through his sombrero. He knows Trump is NOT going to betray us and he is using this for fund raiser material to scare donors to send cash to fight off a pesky Democrat challenger. BTW the number of conservatives who would see something wrong with 12 year waiting list to vote, ending chain migration and holding the remaining DACAs to a very high standard is very small. In 12 years there won’t be any Democrat party for them to vote for if the timid Republicans like Mister Haney would just support Trump.
I’ll see my congressman this next Monday. I’m going to warn him.
Hell, yes he is right!!!
And the Pubbies better figure that out
The lie is that all Mexicans are 'hard working'... the truth is 74% of Mexican 'immigrants' receive some form of welfare. The lie is they're 'law biding' - the truth is they overwhelm our court systems and prisons.
With 12 years to sort themselves out we WILL get the cream of the crop - and the rest of them will be sent home. Trump says "no crimes, no welfare, must be employed, must speak english"...for 12 years.
It's brilliant. Trump just needs to make sure the 'CHEAP LABOR' idiots in our party - AND the brain dead democrats who use illegals in place of ideas - are NOT in charge. It's why there's a veto pen...
I agree with you on that.
The problem I see right now is the RINOs and Rats aren’t going for stopping the chain and lottery immigration.
POTUS has the veto pen, I hope he uses it if his four stipulations are not met.
Because most don’t want Trump to succeed, ever.
Reminds me of the scene in "Gettysburg" when Joshua Chamberlain addressed a group of mutineers before the battle. These were men who have decided they wouldn't fight any more. The whole speech is excellent, but the conclusion is basically this:
"Gentlemen, I think that if we lose this battle ... we lose the war. [clears throat] So ... if you'd be willing to fight with us today ... I'd be personally very grateful."
All but six picked up the rifle.
Thank you for your post.
I don’t really want any kind of citizenship for these guys, but I will accept that kind of a compromise.
We have the P-house. Only one that matters.
It is what they want to occur.
You can tell him the same thing I've told my Congressman:
1. Passing amnesty isn't the only blunder the GOP can make here.
2. Passing any immigration reform bill is a blunder, for the simple reason outlined in #3 below.
3. Immigration reform is nowhere near the top of the list of issues American voters consider important in their lives. Any member of the House or Senate who votes for an immigration reform bill before fixing ObamaCare, passing an infrastructure bill, etc. deserves to be thrown out of office on his @ss.

Well, if they are in the minority, they can talk about being conservative without actually doing anything conservative.
