On Wednesday morning, NBCs Today show and ABCs Good Morning America recited identical liberal talking points as both broadcasts warned viewers that the U.S. was on the verge of looking like worlds worst authoritarian regimes if the Pentagon followed through on President Trumps desire to hold a military parade in the nations capital.
Some unusual marching orders from President Trump to the Pentagon. He wants a massive parade to highlight the countrys military strength, fretted Today co-host Hoda Kotb. But as NBCs Hans Nichols explains, that request is not sitting well with some lawmakers, she added.

I love the French military parade!
They put The Foreign Legion at the back of the parade because they march slow.
The Engineers have long beards and carry huge axes.
They sing a song about blood sausage.
Its great!

He said he wanted a parade in the style that the French had when he visited in July, 2017. So why is the media complaining that Trump wants to do something French!?

If you truly want to honor veterans and active duty personnel, fix the VA and allow for MOS training to count in the civilian job market. Screwing with junior enlisted by making them march in parade on a weekend doesn’t honor them. It pisses them off. This idea has caused bad rumbling in the Lance Corporal Underground. Yeah, they’ll do it if ordered to but they damn sure won’t like it. This a stupid idea.

That’d be one heck of a march. NSA is about 40 miles NE of DC, next to Ft. Meade.

I saw a great military parade in NYC to commemorate the victory over Iraq in the First Gulf War. Troops from numerous coalition countries, including France, participated. Lots of military hardware, including a mock-up of a Patriot Missile.
DC also had a impressive military parade that summer.
I head speculation this morning that the "Trump-Parade" may coincide with commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice (our Veterans Day) and feature US military marching in WWI uniforms. I am cool with that.

May have been, but years ago when the French refused to fight in Iraq or whatever the hell since 9/11, someone memed a very good close-up still (with the bent-down hand in the air) with “Elite French Forces”. So it’s stuck with me forever.

Still not the same.
Commie parades are REGULAR occurences of intimidation show, not in response to some dire event one time.

They’re right. Military parades are for dictatorships. They’re a veiled threat against hidden rebellions. Not American.

Having a politically narrow agenda driven news media run by just a few powerful elites that are apparently very much above the rule of law looks very authoritarian to me.
We should be rioting and rectifying the problem by now.
