More than 50,000 texts were exchanged between two FBI officials who have come under fire for exchanging anti-Trump messages during the 2016 election, Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed Monday.
The revelation came as lawmakers have been pressing for answers after revelations that the FBI “failed to preserve” five months of texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
“We will leave no stone unturned to confirm with certainty why these text messages are not now available to be produced and will use every technology available to determine whether the missing messages are recoverable from another source,” Sessions said in a statement provided to Fox News. “If we are successful, we will update the congressional committees immediately.”

I wonder if they can prove they ever existed? If so, someone is guilty of 50,000 counts of destroying government property. Peter Strzok and Lisa Page would be prime suspects.

Comey's FBI friends can review 50K texts and mark them all benign before dinner, as we've seen before.
50,000 was the number for the agency during that period...not just Page and Strzok.
I had teenaged girls that never texted that much.
That is about 34 texts a day for each of them...every day for two years.
I don’t know about you, but I think my wife would notice my nose in the phone all day.
When did they work? If this is true they should be fired for laziness.
They could take two breaks and walk them to D.C. In the time it would take to get them.

Based upon an 8 hour work day, 5 days a week, for 52 weeks (no vacation) this would require ~24 texts/hour. Even if they worked 12 hours a day it would still be ~16 texts/hour during every working hour for a whole year.
I read it to mean that there are 50,000 texts, NOT COUNTING 5 months of texts that are missing, dating from the beginning of the transition to the day before Mueller was appointed.
