Mickey Mouse. Nick Saban. Any Other Republican.

Those were some of names that got write-in votes in the Alabama Senate election as voters suggested their own alternatives to Sen.-elect Doug Jones and Republican Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race.

An unusually high number of voters — 22,852 people, or 1.6 percent of the 1.3 million people who went to the polls — opted for a write-in candidates, sometimes showing their humor and frustration along the way. “Anyone Else,” “Neither,” and “Any Other Republican” were among the written submissions.

Many of the submission were more serious as some voters followed the lead of Sen. Richard Shelby, who said he could not vote for Moore and was instead writing in the name of another Republican. …

Somewhat true. I don’t have the numbers in front me, but I think there were enough write in votes that, IF they were all people that wanted to vote for Moore but didn’t because of the allegations, then that’s enough to swing the election. However, broadly, it’s true that half a million Trump voters sat home. I knew when I saw the polls after those allegations that he was doomed. It didn’t matter if he was innocent - the mere allegations damned him.

The clowns who run this country in Washington are a bigger insult than any write-in votes.

Roy Moore refused to debate his opponent. He claimed it was because Jones was an extremist on the transgender/military issue.

What kind of Christian demonstrates cowardice like that when an opportunity to hammer a candidate over those kinds of diabolical perversions presents itself?

I suspect a lot of Christians in Alabama seriously questioned whether Moore was much of a Christian after all.

“.. It didn’t matter if he was innocent ...”

It should.

Our system is “Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law”.

Alred and her Bimbos just walk away scott-free and fade into the background, Mission Accomplished.

They should be sued for every cent they have into financial ruin if it wasn’t true.

Those aborted babies were so important to Roy Moore that he traveled to Philadelphia to watch a stupid football game on the weekend before the biggest election of his career back in Alabama. That guy had “LOSER” written all over him.

Well, our opinions differ. I’ll leave it there, as it’s pretty much water under the bridge now.

Those “Christians” who were so ready to throw rocks at Moore, on the basis of provable lies need to look at their own hearts.

Jesus loves the little ones. In the Old Testament those who turned their eyes to ignore child sacrifice to Molech were to be cut off from their people.

Those “Christians” better be looking after their own souls, after this. Throw rocks at a man known to be libeled, to pave the way for somebody who treats little human beings worse than cow pies.

Not funny. Not ethical. Not noble.

Sick.

Sick, sick, sick.

Having “Winner” written all over somebody is a bowl of soup.

You would have sold your birthright for that bowl of soup.

Anybody who would use that pathetic of an excuse to throw away this country and the lives of the unborn is obviously just LOOKING for a reason to support the enemy.

Sick, sick, sick.

When lives are at stake, we don’t have the luxury of demanding perfection. Get real, people. You think we’re playing tiddly-winks or some kind of reality-kick-him-off-the-island show?

The stupidity and unearnestness of the idiots of this nation are what will kill us. God will intervene on our behalf if we HUMBLE OURSELVES AND REPENT, which is the exact opposite attitude of the armchair judges throwing rocks at those in the arena fighting it out with blood, sweat, and tears.

Sick, sick, sick.

The infinitely immoral, murder the innocent, teach children to hate heterosexuals, anti-God, anti-American, left wing socialist media/press/DNC/RINO’s, just ran a test to confirm whether or not a predominant “God fearing”, anti-murder of the innocent, pro-American conservative base could be so retard stupid, as to be persuaded to vote for the very immorality they claim to hate!

What the hyper anti-God, anti-American, kill innocent children, indoctrinate your children to hate heterosexuals, socialist/RINO’s proved — if they spend enough money and make allegations substantiated by further allegations of 40 year old sexual misconduct, they can easily manipulate the “conservative” voter, who will then act to defeat themselves almost EVERY TIME, placing into office far more destructive and proactively perverse immorality than any allegation ever made toward the original conservative candidate!

IT IS SO EASY!

This strategy works on “conservative” voters most of the time!

It does not matter how many times the left employs this same strategy, the “right” are just dumb sheep being guided by left-wing wolves!

the mistake was made in the primary.

and dragging Mississippi into the conversation just blurs what is otherwise a perfectly clear issue - but I assume that was the goal.

it is simple. we need to be smarter in the primaries

A principled conservative patriotic voter will vote for principle, not what makes them look good to society!

A voter who votes to make themselves look better, IS NO CONSERVATIVE AT ALL!

A majority of Alabama voters just proved they are neither principled moral conservatives, or patriotic to our nation!

When was the last time the Senate voted anything on abortion? It is a state issue now and some states are strict and others are not. Alabama will continue to be strict on abortion. That Senate seat does not change a thing on that topic.

We DEFINITELY would have been better off with Strange. Sorry but that is a fact.

Sure, we need to be smart in the primaries, but ignoring the evidence of voter fraud is not cool with me. That’s how Alabama is no better than Mississippi, and that is how I will forever remember Alabama. The GOPee messing with the primaries to try to get rid of the conservative is also like Mississippi, so in my mind those two states will be remembered as crooked GOPee hideouts.

Bleah.

Every time the US Senate has a confirmation vote on a judicial nominee.

Sheesh. The stakes could not possibly have been higher.

Proactively voting in an immoral murderous monster (Jones), for the sake of looking good to a left-wing immoral society, proves the majority of the Alabama electorate will vote kill babies and America if enough money is spent, and they are afraid of looking bad to the same left wing which seeks to destroy them!

It wasn’t them. Sessions received 750,000 in his last, uncontested election. Had just those voters turned out, Moore would have won.

Strange was not a choice on this ballot. He failed on the ballot he was on.

Coulda woulda shoulda means nothing. AL voters had a choice between a Senate confirmation vote for pro-life, pro-Constitution judges, and a Senate confirmation vote against the US Constitution every time.

They made their choice. It was a bad choice. Period.

Oh good grief. We have our 50 votes. In fact, we have an extra and VP. We will do fine. That anchor would have been on every Senator next year. Now it will be forgotten and we can win more seats. The Democrats took a hit losing Franken as well.
