An attorney and private school teacher from Washington, DC, is accusing United Airlines of removing her from her first-class seat only to give the seat to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).

Just don’t crack jokes, don’t say anything to those badge’d up creeps, take your stuff and just move along. I have a special bag of stuff that even they can’t touch; all I have to do is show them MY badge (I carry on the flight deck and have a federal badge to do so).
If this were true, you would not find their family wealth increasing by amazing amounts over the years. Harry Reid retired a multi-millionaire after starting his government CAREER almost as a pauper but that is almost a common story for everyone there.
I’ve figured out how the system works.
I was in the airport on a busy travel weekend when flights were overbooked. They paid 5 people $2,000 each to bump. I managed to get a $500 voucher plus a replacement on a short shuttle.
Since I only live 10 to 15 minutes from the airport, it pays to book my travel for leisure with extra time to be bumped. I pick up several thousand dollars a year this way.
I’ve had them rebook connecting flights, pay for hotels and meals, .... You need to know what weekends, which flights, and when to hold for a higher pay to bump.
Yes,it’s a game with a strategy. But it pays.
She was driven to the airplane by ATL PD. Via the tarmac and when the PD car opened the door she was at the foot of the stairs. I am a living witness to this.
That is exactly what happened. UA decided to screw with one of their passengers to provide the ordinary treatment that Congresswoman Lee has grown accustomed with.
Lee's office said she asked for nothing beyond the ordinary and expected nothing beyond the ordinary. Because UA knows they have been giving her the preferential (ordinary) treatment for a long time.
I remember when George W., after giving a State of the Union speech would go out of his way to acknowledge Congresswoman Lee. He knew she was trouble and needed to minimize damages.

I did!! I knew it was bad from the moment W. suggested to make all airports have the same stupid procedures, etc...
More importantly, I saw it BEFORE 9/11! I was at the SeaTac airport, trying to fly back to Dallas and I had a stress ball - a bead-filled squeeze ball (they were popular back in the late 90’s, and I was trying to give up some bad habits (and that worked...for a little while)). Anyway, I had flown with this thing in my pocket for more than twelve separate flights from various cities (Dallas, L.A., Tampa, Seattle, Chicago, etc...) and NEVER had a problem - ever!
I was rushing to catch an early flight back to Dallas (got off work early, I wanted to get home - paid extra to change flights)! I had already gotten through the check-point, grabbed my coat, pulled this out of the pocket and went to head to my gate when I got stopped by two rent-a-cop, wannabes. They wanted to know what that ball was. I explained it to them. They said they needed to scan it. I explained that they had already scanned it when it was in my coat pocket. They scanned it again. Then they wanted to know what was inside. I said beads or something.
Then they said I couldn’t take it with me, as it might be a bomb or something. I told them that they could keep it, so I can make my flight. They told me that I had to throw it away, in the trash can next to them, then I could go.
After having seen the lack of mental power of these two dweebs, I KNEW giving these type of people ANY kind of “authoriti” was going to be DISASTROUS!! Most of these single-digit IQ idiots truly believe they are saving the WORLD from annihilation!
Besides, my sister-in-law worked for the airport security at DFW, before it was TSA, and she told me the level of stupidity among their ranks. They had bag scanners back then and said that, AT-BEST, they caught less than 10% of hidden items in test bags! She quit because it was such a joke of a job.
