An attorney and private school teacher from Washington, DC, is accusing United Airlines of removing her from her first-class seat only to give the seat to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).
snip
Airline staff told Simon the seat was taken and gave her a $500 voucher, along with another ticket for the same flight in Economy Plus.

At least they didn’t bloody her up.
I was on a flight from ATL to DFW once and MLK’s wife Correta Scott King was brought to the plane by ATL PD. They told us to NOT make eye contact with her.

Black Life; Move!
Only one seat??
They told us to NOT make eye contact with her.

Fortunately, you heeded their advice, else you would have instantly been turned to stone ...
Lol. That’s what I was going to post.
It’s a wonder they don’t scatter rose petals and spray perfume in the path of these dignitaries when they strut in.
Texas? She makes humanity look bad!
Those Democrats all talk a lot of socialism until it comes to them, personally.
Sheila probably already glugs on a quart of cologne to cover the stank.
And demand that we bow our heads and look at the ground so
the rabble do not look at the royalty as they pass by.
One aspect I do not understand is this.
When Simon boarded the plane in Guatemala she would have received two boarding passes. On boarding pass for the Guatemala to Houston and a second boarding pass for Houston to Washington DC.
Something is missing here. Or is Simon showing us the perils of relying upon an electronic boarding pass.
Until the airlines start charging me for paper boarding passes, I want the paper trail.
I would have stared right at her the whole time without blinking to just prove I can look at whatever the h*** I want in a public space, especially one I'm paying for...
Sheila is Houston’s vote. ‘Nuff said. Sheila’s been pulling this seating upgrade for years so it’s nothing new. Since the 90’s, she’s been buying cheap seats and demanding first class when she boards. Once, when refused, she demanded the whole row of seats because, “don’t you know who I am!”
Only $500? Isn’t United the airline that started dragging passengers out of their seats because no one would jump at $1000 on an over-booked flight? And they were going to clean up their act? And then they overbook and make exceptions for a pushy, do-you-know-who-I-am autocrat?
United and SJL sounds like a match made in heaven for them and h*ll for everyone else.
Was Sheila Jackson Lee in a rush to get back to Houston to erect a new statue to her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Andrew Jackson?
