The iconic black-and-white photograph of a young woman being ogled by men on an Italian street has been removed from the Center City restaurant Gran Caffe LAquila after its owner said he recently received about two dozen complaints from customers that it depicts sexual harassment.
The poster-size image had hung along the main staircase to the second floor of the Italian restaurant, visible to a portion of its second-floor dining room through a picture window, since its opening in December 2014.
Co-owner Riccardo Longo said complaints began last month, shortly after Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein began facing public accusations of harassment, unleashing a torrent of allegations against powerful men and opening new dialogue on the subject.
Longo said customers approached him directly to express their discomfort with the Ruth Orkin print from 1951, titled An American Girl in Italy.

Ha. If that is sexual harassment then every hetero man alive is guilty of it.
Also, you must have a LOT of time on your hands. That’s quite an analysis.
My older brother said once “I’ll never cheat on my wife (who is very good looking btw), but the day I stop looking at women is when I have 6 feet of dirt over my eyes.”
Returning back to the Victorian Age part II ?
Soon dating will be discouranged in favor of courtship.
Simple formula: If she digs you, it's flirtatious fun. If she doesn't dig you, it's harassment and oppression. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
I emphatically agree.
This photo shows the depravity of man. At first glance, it’s cute. But after just a bit of reflection, it’s horribly dehumanizing.
This is a good photo, a good conversation starter. It should stay hung up on the wall of the restaurant.
Stupid restauranteur! Pretty soon cigar stores’ smoking rooms are going to remove Playboy and Hustler. Jinx Allen, the girl in the photo, loved posing for it (she was six feet tall unlike any Italian woman of that era) and pretended she was a contessa when she walked down the street. She wasn’t conflicted about it and enjoyed the attention.
Italian men can be annoying with that stuff but it is generally well meant and Italian women - unlike idiot Americans - really know how to handle the unwanted attention. Beauteous Italian women know a pigmy when they meet one!
The MGTOW movement is growing thanks to the latest insane push by the 3rd wave feminism.
It’s more than just tired of putting up with women’s crap, it’s being a male and masculine without apologizing for being a man.
It’s having the stones to say “ NO ! “ to a woman without giving into her female charms, or not letting her always get her way.
It’s telling her that you don’t approve of her bad behavior.
Yep.
So now you can’t even look at a woman in public? These people are nuts.
Actually ? The bible tells us that cowards shall not inherit the Kingdom of God...i.e. Cowardice...
I guess we won’t be hearing this ditty on the radio anytime soon.....

Just another reason for the feminist to bitch, moan, complain.......AND ? LIE ! .......
There now, fixed.
That would be a great idea: Paint a replica of this only with the woman in a burkha and the men paying her no attention. Title it "A Saudi Girl In Italy". Add a few wires from a bomb vest underneath her clothes peeking through...
interesting story behind the photo....

Interesting. She has a kind of Anne Bancroft look to her in some of them.
Having been to Italy and experienced that behavior I can tell you it is very annoying. I called those roving bands the Wolf Packs. They were quite aggressive.
That’s one of the tenants or values of the MGTOW movement....men getting back to having a backbone no matter how much the feminist cry and complain about it.
That’s one thing they fear and don’t have a defense against....ignoring them.
Sounds like The Cowboy Creed.
She should have known better than to walk by the unemployment office alone...
