MONTGOMERY, Alabama A new poll from JMC Analytics shows Democrat Doug Jones taking a lead over conservative Republican Judge Roy Moore in the Senate race here as allegations against Moore from the Washington Post roil the Senate race.
The poll, released on Sunday morning, shows Jones at 46 percent and Moore at 42 percent while Arlester McBride, an independent, gets 2 percentand 9 percent are undecided.
With leaners included, Jones clocks in at 48 percent, Moore at 44 percent, and McBride at 2 percent with 6 percent undecided.
The survey was conducted on Nov. 9 and Nov. 11after the Washington Posts piece on Moore broke. Its sample size is 575 likely voters and has a 4.1 percent margin of error with a 95 percent confidence interval.
The news here is not good for Moore-this pollster was accurate throughout the primaries, despite claims from GOP establishment sources aligned with appointed incumbent Sen. Luther Strange that his polling was not right.

Who knows? Maybe many of them are Democrats at heart.
They will probably vote for him and chances are that he will win. However, I believe there is no chance that the senate will vote to seat him. Enough GOPe senators have indicated that they will not support him.
When the votes are counted Moore will win 57/43.How is it that we get results like this from nameless faceless surveys but when media go out to talk to real people face to face they can’t find one who has changed sides?
There is no there there and the people of Alabama know that.
Pure BS, IMO.
Roy Moore is going to win the election.
Where do you get that? Strange is a McConnell buddy and will do whatever the uniparty tells him to do! Also Strange is not pro life he supports abortion.
If you believe the WoPo’s revelations are a transparent political hit job, vote for Moore regardless of polling. OTOH if you believe Mitch McConnell and the Swamp vote for the D.
The sexual allegations story was a setup to massage public opinion to make the race tighter. They know that it is not enough in itself to win it for the Rats. After it becomes tighter they can steal the election more easily with fake votes. A two-step process.
Allegations such as these make polls inaccurate because people won’t want to declare their support to a pollster.
Reasonable. Strange is MORE likely to behave as you suggest but no where near as likely as Moore.
At any rate, its pretty much a moot point as its too late to change the ballot - another reason I believe the entire thing was a put up job.
Personally, I think Ryan and McConnell would rather NOT control the House and Senate. As we have seen, they may mouth all the right things, but when it comes to push and shove, they will not do it. Its too risky. They might loose their seats and they are not ideologues like the left. Besides a lot of this stuff angers big contributors like legal firms, insurance firms, the construction industry, etc., etc.
Their only purpose in holding elective office is to get rich by pushing the right kind of legislation which benefits their corporate globalist sponsors - legislation which all too often is obscure and beyond the comprehension of average voters.
The LAST thing they need is a southern clone of Donald Trump sitting in Congress to raise cain right in their own midst. It interferes with business, you understand.
I DON’T assume its binary.
But we have a primary process. I supported Moore. I still support Moore. He will be a Trump counterpart in Congress which will threaten the GOPe. Right now I wish the entire GOP and GOPe would go to hell along with the Democrats.
Unfortunately, third party candidates have no chance at this level. If you want to start a third party, start at the local level and build up a base, then go on from there.
I think you are right.
Not talking about third parties at all. Organize for primaries as we have a ton of them coming up. Cut the rot out from within is the only way it will be done.
I think a lot of us are doing that right now. A lot more of us need to. By the time general elections occur, the result is already predetermined. Primaries are the way to victory.
If he’s guilty, he should step aside. If not, he should stay no matter what. I think he has a self defense coming up in the next couple of days. Apparently a reporter approached a woman offering her money to say Moore abused her as a kid.
Jmc is the same outfit that did the last one showing Jones leading
A lib dem will never win statewide in Alabama
Never
Republicans in statewide elections routinely get 88-90% in Alabama
It’s so bad from a media perspective they quit exit polling in POTUS elections in super red states like BAMA and Miss
It always makes me chuckle how Yankee freepers just don’t get the white vote in the Deep South
They talk about Utah
Utah ain’t diddly
Deep South whites vote 88-90% GOP in statewide elections
I calculate Judge Moore needs 75% of the white vote in Alabama to win. I think he’ll get that & more.
Ok
