Earlier this morning, President Donald J. Trump lambasted Republican Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee on Twitter. Sen. Corkers response, however, was just as bitingly critical of the commander in chief.
President Trump started the twitter feud this morning by saying that the soon-to-be retired Senator was largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal, begged the President for his endorsement, and thought that Corker would be a negative voice in his administration, which is why he was never considered for Secretary of state.
Senator Bob Corker "begged" me to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee. I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without... Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
..my endorsement). He also wanted to be Secretary of State, I said "NO THANKS." He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal! Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
...Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn't have the guts to run! Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 8, 2017
In response, the senior senator from the Volunteer State said that White House has become a adult day care center.
It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning. Senator Bob Corker (@SenBobCorker) October 8, 2017
Corker has often been critical about President Trump, but his comments this week that Secretary of Defense James Mad Dog Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and Chief of Staff John Kelly are keeping America and the world form chaos seemed to spark the President's comments today.
"I think Secretary Tillerson, Secretary Mattis, and Chief of Staff Kelly are those people that help separate our country from chaos, and I support them very much.
A source close to Sen. Corkers office accused the President of lying, according to the Washington Examiner.
"All claims made in the president's tweets are false," the source said. "The president called the senator early last week and asked him to reconsider his decision not to seek reelection and reaffirmed that he would have endorsed him, as he has said many times."
This feud between a sitting GOP president and senator comes just days after Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff told donors to "purge" Anti-Trump Republicans from Capitol Hill.
Just imagine the possibilities of what can happen if our entire party unifies behind him? If and this sounds crass we can purge the handful of people who continue to work to defeat him, Nick Ayers said, according to POLITICO.
Im not speaking on behalf of the president or vice president when I say this, Ayers continued But if I were you, I would not only stop donating, I would form a coalition of all the other major donors, and just say two things. Were definitely not giving to you, No. 1. And No. 2, if you dont have this done by Dec. 31, were going out, were recruiting opponents, were maxing out to their campaigns, and were funding super PACs to defeat all of you.
So far, the White House has not responded to the insults hurled by Sen. Corker.
People in TN surely know how to pick ‘em!
Someone in DC has to care for the babies in both houses of congress. The only adults in DC are in the WH.
“Another GOPe sh**head”
Tennessee, the state that gave us Davey Crockett , gave us this diminutive prick?
And full of shit to boot.
Corker is mooning the world.
Corker is an Epublican.
He claims 5'6 1/2"....however that's probably with his elevator shoes on.
Interesting that SOS Rex Tillerson is only 5'8"...he gives off the aura of being much taller than that.

The cheek of every American must tingle with shame as he reads the silly, flat and dishwatery utterances of the man who has to be pointed out to intelligent foreigners as the President of the United States...Is Mr. Lincoln less refined than a savage?
It was a perversion of history so flagrant that the most extended charity cannot view it as otherwise than willful.
It is interesting how newspapers address things.
As a kid growing up, I had not idea how perverse they are.
News media, education, politicians, the fbi, can’t even trust scientists these days if they are getting government money. Who are our children’s role models?
Just as you predicted, retirement emboldened this garbage person.
“Interesting that SOS Rex Tillerson is only 5’8”...he gives off the aura of being much taller than that.”
I thought he was much taller also as he presents with a certain amount of gravitas, until I saw him standing next to Trump and realized he was really shorter in stature. He has that great deep speaking voice and his face is broad so he appears a bigger man than he actually is.
For his families sake, let's hope he's focused on them and not fighting Trump.
As I pointed out a long time ago, when Corker went to work for Gov. Scumquist, he was so well regarded by state Democrats that they wanted to recruit him to run for Governor against his boss in 1998.
I voted for Corker back in 1994 (against Frist in the GOP primary) to take on Sasser because I thought Frist was too much of a lightweight to take out the presumed incoming Majority Leader. I have never been impressed with him since, and now that he doesn’t have to worry about renomination, he can fully unleash his inner Democrat leftist.
I would not be surprised to see him voting like MurCOWski and Collins by the time he’s in his last months in office, all to deliberately piss off and sabotage President Trump for not endorsing him for reelection (or making him Sec of State). Frankly, Justice needs to be taking a VERY close look at his relationship with Wells Fargo. He is very dirty. Trump knew that.
Seems to me Corker started the nastiness with Trump...and of course we now know why...Trump would not endorse him in re-election.
Day Care? Corker is the child...and a traitorous one at that!
We sure seem to have a number of them don’t we.
Yes we do!
Very upsetting when the GOP are attacking CIC...weakens us in eyes of world’s despots! Need to project a strong unified front by at least President’s party—of which he is supposed to be the Head!
I agree with your reasoned and timely thoughts there.
Makes my blood boil that we can’t even get “our team” on board. Of course that’s a joke too. They never were our team.
