As I pointed out a long time ago, when Corker went to work for Gov. Scumquist, he was so well regarded by state Democrats that they wanted to recruit him to run for Governor against his boss in 1998.
I voted for Corker back in 1994 (against Frist in the GOP primary) to take on Sasser because I thought Frist was too much of a lightweight to take out the presumed incoming Majority Leader. I have never been impressed with him since, and now that he doesn’t have to worry about renomination, he can fully unleash his inner Democrat leftist.
I would not be surprised to see him voting like MurCOWski and Collins by the time he’s in his last months in office, all to deliberately piss off and sabotage President Trump for not endorsing him for reelection (or making him Sec of State). Frankly, Justice needs to be taking a VERY close look at his relationship with Wells Fargo. He is very dirty. Trump knew that.
