Two days after an attacker opened fire on concert goers in Las Vegas, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc) announced he was shelving legislation to deregulate suppressors.

Ryan has now shelved the Hearing Protection Act, which was introduced into Congress on January 9; it is the legislation containing suppressor deregulation. The Act does not legalize suppressors–as they are already legal–rather, it removes the burdensome process for acquiring them and erases the federal tax that must be paid in order to receive permission to posses one.

That is the problem, finding someone competent to challenge Ryan. Nehlen turned out to be a joke. If necessary, maybe a Democrat to stop him in November, then replace them two years later. However accomplished, Ryan needs to go.

How about some horsetrading? Give up on suppressors and machine guns in turn for national reciprocity? Maybe national pre-emption of state laws that restrict 2nd amendment. A law that states... no state shall make or enforce law that infringes upon the first or second amendment? Wait, why would we need that? How about new jurists.
The DNC is in full campaign mode and we temporarily turn the country over to Kimmel, Clinton and Giffords while those poor souls are not buried yet.
Did you know that a noise suppressor is worthless if the speed of the round exceeds the speed of sound. You must use a sub sonic round with a suppressor. Sub sonic rounds are hard to obtain. They are used by Ranger Snipers along with ceramic bullets Just hear the “click”. Big hole!!
