The Louisiana-based Cajun Navy, a group that began when local volunteers with boats rescued Hurricane Katrina victims, headed to Houston to help victims of Hurricane Harvey who are stranded due to the severe ongoing rain and flooding in East Texas. The rescue boats reportedly had some trouble with looters as CNN and some local news stations noted Monday.
Clyde Cain, the founder of the group, posted a video on Facebook Monday evening with a complete update on the situation.

I was thinking that they wanted to hijack the boats to increase their looting chances.

Was monitoring a local Houston TV station and homeowners blocked their street with a pickup to block looters. His shotgun helped make the point.
Hope looting is not widespread in the impacted area, but know there are a lot of bad hombres out there.

People in boats pretending to be rescuers and then robbing people?

There must be some trees that still have branches high enough that you can hang some of these criminals.

Yup, pretty much all 12,000 of us. Plus whatever LA has brought in. Unfortunately, our unit was not issued weapons, and I don’t know if any other units have or haven’t been.
We’re not in Houston so I can’t really say, we’re just staged in San Antonio so far. One of the guy in my unit who also happens to be a Houston cop, said they’ve had some gangs getting into fights but I haven’t heard much else.
They’re from Only Black Lives Matter.
