At his Supreme Court confirmation hearings in March, then-Judge Neil M. Gorsuch spoke to Sen. Richard Blumenthal with grave sincerity, saying, Senator, the independence and integrity of the judiciary is in my bones. To Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, he promised: I do take seriously impartiality and the appearance of impartiality.
As the saying goes, however, actions speak louder than words.
Now that Gorsuch has been confirmed to the Supreme Court, his actions are beginning to bring his commitment to integrity and impartiality into sharper focus: It was recently revealed that the justice has agreed to speak to a conservative group at the Trump International Hotel in Washington next month.
As The Post recently reported, this property earned the Trump Organization $2 million in the first four months of 2017.
The Trump International Hotel has become a prominent symbol, in the heart of our nations capital, of Trumps success at exploiting his elective office for personal gain. Situated on Pennsylvania Avenue just a few blocks from the White House, it shines like a beacon to those seeking to curry favor with the 45th president.
For one who promised to take seriously . . . the appearance of impartiality, it is time for Gorsuch to return to those words. Speaking at the Trump International Hotel does not foster the appearance of impartiality. It does the opposite. Gorsuch should reflect soberly on his decision to speak at his patrons property, which lies at the center of not one but three cases that could come before him in the months ahead.
Upon such reflection, Gorsuch should withdraw from speaking at any of Trumps properties and thereby begin to match the volume of his actions as the courts newest justice with those of his words as Trumps nominee.

Not so true.... Obamacare is a tax, not the courts arena...hammer Ryan and the Uniparty in congress
You nailed it.
:-)
Remember when the WaComPost complained that Kagan and Sotomayor were voting in a partisan manner? No? Me, neither.
One of the many reasons I like Trump is that, unlike most others in Washington, he doesn't need the money or the power. He cannot be bought. That leaves him free to make the right decisions without thinking about how they will effect his personal fortune.
How much Soros money has been funneled to her?

TRANSLATION: “Impartiality” means being partial to Lefties.
Which by its name opposes suppression of free-speech by organizations that propound violence against view points they disagree with. Oh, not true?
Did this gal pen similar concerns for the “pay to play” operation run by Shillary from the State Dept. to benefit the Clintonista Foundation?
#WaPo-FakeNews
His decisions and opinions on the bench matter. His speaking engagements don’t, honey.
they will not let up unless and ntil they are dead
From the comPost?
Hmmm.....what about validity?
yeah not everybody can be as impartial as loretta Lynch on the tarmac with Bill Clinton.

“It was a success long before Trump ever announced his run for the presidency”
The article is talking about the one in DC. It opened in Sep 2016, a coupler months before Trump was elected.
“..all of them collectively dont need his presidency for their continued success.”
If anything, his Presidency has probably hurt the bottom line at the hotels. The article says $2M in the first qtr of 2017 ? That would have doubled if he never ran.
I’m still amazed that freepers read anything by the Compost
(Talk to me about the wise Latina and those Supreme Court justices who performed homosexual weddings but did not recuse themselves...)
I wonder what the same people who didn’t bat an eyelash would have said had Gorsuch called himself a “wise white man”! LOL! Could you imagine the exploding heads and the dripping hypocrisy?
