If we are going to rid the world of all mention of slave owners, there is no better place to start than the People's Republic of Seattle.

Great point.

What I find interesting is that these statues have been up for over 100 years. Suddenly they are a crisis!!!!!

If it was so important to remove them, it would have been much easier to accomplish under 0vomit, so why wasn’t it a problem then?

Is it a coincidence that this has suddenly become the left’s #1 issue just at the same time that economic information is coming out showing that blacks have improved their financial situation more after 6 months of Trump than in 8 years of 0vomit? (Actually, financial circumstances WORSENED under 0vomit.) Black earnings are way up and black employment is way up. Hmmmmm.

Seattle is in King county, named after William R. King, 13th vice president of the United States and a slave owner.

This was so embarrassing that in 1986 the county was "renamed" after Martin Luther King, Jr.

The sad truth that the Left is attempting to sweep under the rug, is that our Revolution was the beginning of the overthrow of world wide slavery. Unfortunately much of the world still has slavery in one form or another.

I was just thinking today about dogs, isn’t it racist to say that dogs have “owners”?? Doesn’t that sort of mock slavery and stuff? Like if you see a dog running around by himself people - usually white people - will say to the dog “who is your owner” as if the dog is a slave. I think it is high time we end this and tear down statues of dogs.

Seattle Named After Slave Owner

And the state in which Seattle is situated, is named after a slave owner.

So, we should expect both places to be renamed sometime soon, and while Trump is president, because, after Trump is out of office, it won't be an issue and nobody will care any more.

Also, I want to know when blacks are going to file for a new last name to throw off the racist namesakes that so many now bear with surnames like Washington, Jefferson, Lee, et cetera.

Too funny! How the worm has turned.

Is this a good time to remind them that Øbongo’s ancestors were slave owners too?!

Seattle was named after Chief Sealth who definitely was not a slave owner.

Chief Seattle was a Suquamish Tribe and Dkhw'Duw'Absh chief. A prominent figure among his people, he pursued a path of accommodation to white settlers, forming a personal relationship with "Doc" Maynard. The city of Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington, was named after him

Well if so, they weren’t black slaves. Natives all across America attacked local tribes, captured slaves. This slavery was not the same as the slaves in Democrat controlled south.

Well, while they’re at it, they have to change the name of the entire state of Washington.

I suggest they go to Karl Marx, it’s fitting.

Simply name it “City 20.” (20th in population). Rename all U.S. cities.

In other 2010 census news: “Seattle and Portland are at or near the top of the 50 largest U.S. cities for the percentages of their residents who are white. Portland was No. 1, Seattle No. 5.”

Was this a Irish slave? The first American slaves!! Oh my, don’t tell the blacks the truth. It might hurt their privilege.

This comment is not politically correct. I don’t care, supposedly we still have freedom of speech!

Not only that, but all the awards to Seattle Slew will have to be removed from the history books.
