I just wet myself a little bit...

THAT would be a Dream Come True! Go, Trump! GO!

He should have appointed Rudy on day one. He would not be in this mess.

> replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with his steadfast ally Rudy Giuliani <

Wait...wasn’t Sessions also a “steadfast ally”? Having said that, I wish Trump would have picked Giuliani in the first place.

Beleaguered underestimates the deep stuff Sessions is in up to his elbows.

One would think Trump could just tell Sessions to start investigating Hillary instead of tweeting about it.

Anyone who is ready to fight the Left and the Washington Deep State.

I will admit I admire one thing about the Obama administration - his DOJ people were committed to his cause, and worked towards achieving his vision. The idea of recusing oneself for ANYTHING would never have occurred to Holder or Lynch. Of course, they had the cover of nearly the entire Federal Government and the media, so they could get away with a lot of criminality.

Giuliani is about 20 years past his prime. If he’s appointed now, it will be for all the wrong reasons.

It’s kill or be killed time. Rudy knows how to play that game.

Sessions was so concerned with ethics that he recused without the legal necessity to do so. It would seem vastly less ethical to not inform Trump of his intentions.

I appreciate what Sessions did to help Trump get elected, but we need an AG with urgency and fearlessness.

He should do that. Surrounding yourself with enemies - or at any rate, people who want to impress your enemies - is not a good idea.

Doubtful.

1) No way they would get him through confirmation - at least not without him promising to recuse himself.

2) Sessions was a loyal supporter who risked his political capital to endorse Trump early and gave up his Senate seat. I would hate to see him out in the cold. Sessions is also more conservative than Rudy, although Rudy would have been my ideal pick for the job.

3) If Trump wants Sessions to investigate something, I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) all he has to do is order it. Trump needs to order it.

With the current Senate, could Trump get any conservative nominee for AG approved? I doubt it and he would have to plan on a recess appointment going in and the nominee would have to understand that.

Guys like that pompous Tucker Carlson that say Trump should not be calling out Sessions for his BS are clueless.

Sessions handed control of DOJ to the enemy without even as much as asking Trump, his entire family and agenda are now under relentless legal attack because of what this old fool has done.

Yes. If this was even 10 years ago.

Rudy is 73 years old.

We need an A/G for the long haul.

Having said this - Rudy would be PERFECT as a Special Investigator against Bill, Hillary et al.
