Former Anheuser-Busch CEO arrested for trying to fly helicopter while allegedly intoxicated

Former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Adolphus Busch IV was arrested in Swansea Monday night after police say he tried to fly a helicopter while allegedly intoxicated.
According to a statement from the Swansea Police Department, officers at 12:48 p.m. were dispatched to a report of a helicopter landing, for an unknown reason, at 1 Bronze Point, Swansea. Upon their arrival the helicopter was already on the ground in a parking lot.
Assessment of the area and safety of the helicopter taking off due to close obstacles and buildings was of concern, police said. Chief Steve Johnson contacted the FAA, which advised it would investigate the landing and requested pictures and information, police said.
Officers were called around 8:15 p.m. when Busch IV appeared to be trying to take off in his helicopter, but appeared to be too intoxicated, the police department stated.
Busch IV was taken to a local hospital for blood, urine and breath samples after officers conducted the standard field sobriety tests, police said.
No charges have been filed, as officers await the results of those tests.
Busch IV was released from custody at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday.
We have been in close communications and coordination with the FAA and the St. Clair County States Attorneys Office," Johnson said in a statement. "This is not your normal case that a street police officer handles. The safety and security of the community, the pilot and passenger were of the utmost concern... Family members are contacting another pilot to remove the helicopter."
Police found four loaded guns and four bottles containing prescription medication in the helicopter, the Belleville-News Democrat reports.

Ain’t this the same guy who sold his family’s company to some foreigners in Belgium? What a loser.
The next question is who trained him to fly, Harrison Ford?
If they never let pilots fly helicopters drunk, they’d have to shut down Fort Rucker.
Not Cool! Helicopters don’t glide at all well!
He always struck me as the ultimate idiot son.

“Another article said he got a .000 on the breathalyzer.”
If that is the case, his lawyer was correct. No case, unless the victim sues for damage to his reputation.

Beverage Giant Seeking Biggest Beer Merger Ever Is Hillary Donor
The beverage behemoth seeking to engineer a merger that will give it control of 1 out of every 3 beers sold in the world has donated $10,000 to the Hillary Clinton campaign in its only listed contribution to a presidential candidate, documents show.
InBev, owners of Anheuser-Busch, which brews Budweiser beer, has announced its intentions to merge with SABMiller, brewers of Lite Beer and other Miller Beer brands, in a $104 billion deal.
“The deal will create a brewer selling one of every three beers worldwide, with brands like Budweiser, Stella Artois, Grolsch, Miller, Corona and Peroni under its umbrella,” Newsweek reports.
The merger will require regulatory approval from the Justice Department.
The OpenSecrets website reports InBev, through its Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. Political Action Committee, has donated money to only one presidential campaign in the 2016 election cycle, according to FEC data through Sept. 28.
Hillary Clinton is listed as receiving $10,000 from the corporate giant.
In addition, the Clinton Foundation has received donations from Anheuser-Busch in the $1 million to $5 million range, according to an examination conducted by Nonprofit Quarterly.

NEW YORK Anheuser-Busch InBev says it has reached an agreement with the Justice Department that clears the way for U.S. approval of its merger with SABMiller.
The maker of Budweiser and Bud Light says it will sell SABMillers interest in MillerCoors to Molson Coors, as previously announced, as part of the agreement. AB InBev is selling brands in other parts of the world to ease concerns that it would have too much control of the market.
AB InBev says it has approval in 21 jurisdictions including Africa and Latin America, and is working with authorities where the deal is still pending. The European Unions regulator gave approval in May, conditional on the sale of practically the entire SAB beer business in Europe.
The company expects the deal to close later this year.
