I agree. Then, there’s the baby-daddy-reveal-party on “Maury”.
And (in the very very rare moment) when I watch, there’s the occasional gals who have had 7-8-10 guys tested and NONE are a DNA match.
Neither did I. I would not have wanted to know even if such information was available in those days. And, I suspect, you are like me in that you don’t need to be saying “Look at me!” all of the time.
Hold on there partners, remember the Pravda.
You might know if the baby has an inee or an outee, but thats not the gender....
We won’t know the gender till Junior decides what it is...
Gee, ya’ think?
I see from her page it was a boy.
The suspects and motives are still unknown.
Thanks, we don’t call them the Saxon Horde for nothing. After a pattern of two-girls, two-boys for a while, we hit a string of boys. Patrick (now 15), James (13), Vlad (11), Frank (8). Sally who is now 17, wanted a little sister, and she tried to get Frank to go along with it, but once he learned to talk, he said, “James says I’m a BOY, and I don’t have to let you paint my nails!”
Kathleen took to baby-doll status for a while, but it didn’t last. Sally’s going to Jamaica next week with a mission group from our church: she’ll paint nails and do hairstyling for homeless women and children.
The mother-to-be, named only as Cheyanne (middle) with her mother Lori (left) and a friend (right) later revealed she had lost the baby after being shot. Her mother was shot in the hand. Photo credit: Facebook/cheyanne.babiee
When the Daily Snooze thinks the biggest detail of this story is “gender” we’ve got nothing left to do but speculate (or discuss gender in today’s culture).
None of the hypothetical I listed may pan out, certainly I did not assume they all were the cause.
No, I was honestly clueless, but now I know.
That happens when you fire from a car into a house from the outside.
When you waltz in, you have more visualization of who you are shooting at.
I'm guessing among some members of the community, a "gender-reveal party" is a gender-reveal PARTY!
See post 67.
They look like Bengals fans to me.
I may owe folks a big apology for going the wrong way on this.
After reading your note, it dawned on my this could have simply been an announcing of the baby’s sex.
The way the article was written, I came away thinking this was something other than what it may have been.
Ouch. I may have missed this by a mile. The writer too it seems.
Why not just address this as a baby shower, and the baby’s sex to be announced?
Good grief.
“Push” presents...ugh. Even more unnecessary than gender reveal parties.
Did your son give his wife a “push” present, too?
Oh, who knows? There's a lot of money spent in the party biz, regardless of the occasion.
The last baby shower I went to was about 9 years ago. The mother had already announced the baby's sex, so it was just a baby shower. Her older children were in junior high, so she needed new baby-stuff!
For some reason this puts me in mind of the Pike County, OH mass murder last year. Wonder if this was drug related.
Some of those guest MAY even be real. But a lot of pranksters are willing to claim such transgressions to get a free hotel and plane ticket to New York (or wherever the shows tape these days).

Jerry Springer Guests- real or fake
http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=179997
>>In 1998, there were 16 people who claimed that they had been on Springer as fake guests. There were, around the same time, numerous reports that the fights were fake. You can find most of those stories by Googling.
>>>(2003)My friend was on the Richard Bey show a while ago (remember him?) They supplied a limo to the show and a hotel room, the contract said that if their appearance and presentation were above average in any entertaining fashion, they would be compsensated if thier appearance was selected for either promotional footage, special events, ect. A girl I knew from HS was interning in Chicago for the Jerry Springer Show back in the day before he started having beads for the girls who take their tops off. She said that they would pay for anything “out of the ordinary and entertaining” if it would arise. Also the same thing with royalties if there is some “Jerry’s most Outrageous Moments” video. They even had a contract listing the show will not liable for any damages recieved for being a guest, you also have to have health insurance, too! I’m sure some guests decide to go on and stage fights and situations...yesterday, he had Brother and Sister love cirlces. I’m sure they were laughing all the way to the bank.
Not what I was expecting and regarding my "PARTY" comment earlier, apparently the party had quieted down and they were watching movies when the attack took place.
Prayers indeed.
What the hell are you talking about?
I had a gender reveal with my middle child. We toon the ultrasound results in a sealed envelope to a bakery who then made us a beautiful cake filled with pink icing. We had no idea it was a girl. The cake was covered in fondant and said “twinkle twinkle little star how we wonder what you are”. My parents & in-laws were there and we face timed the aunts and uncles to be. Then my husband and I used our cake cutter from our wedding to cut into the cake which revealed pink icing. My daughter is 14 months old and isnannormal little girl. Why on earth would a party such as this damage her in some way??
