Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the White House Press Corps on Tuesday that CNN was “a disgrace to journalism.”
Sanders’s remarks came after CNN retracted a “fake news” story over the weekend alleging links between a member of President Donald Trump’s transition team and a Russian firm, and after an exposé on Monday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas showed a CNN producer admitting the Russia story was “bullsh*t.”
Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump had blasted CNN on Twitter, along with other mainstream media networks. He also retweeted a parody of the CNN logo that recast the channel as “FNN” — “Fake News Network”:

For those who didn't see the pulled post...the question was what would Mitt Romney have done under fake news attacks?....the neato photo showed a guy in a nice suit cowering on his knees in a corner facing the wall and with a lampshade pulled down over his head. It was so apropos to the question....and really funny to look at given the question.

In fairness to Romney, I can't think of many career politicians who are unafraid of the liberal media. They come to DC initially with plenty of bravado, vim and vigor soon to be seduced by the DC swamp. That is what makes Trump different. He does not NEED a political career to live a grand life.
Sometimes it’s so funny you’d think it was written by FReepers. Acosta threw a hissy fit, and the next day the White House publicly calls out CNN as disgraceful. Like an angry mom scolding her 5 year old for egging the neighbor’s house.

Trump is like water - when he counter-attacks, he seeps into every available niche/nook/cranny and patiently erodes the defenses until the dam starts leaking.
