Republican Senator Says Deal on Health Care Unlikely This Year
Wall Street Journal ^ | June 2, 2017 | Siobhan Hughes

Posted on 06/02/2017 6:02:52 AM PDT by C19fan

Sen. Richard Burr (R., N.C.) said that the Senate probably won’t reach a deal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act when it returns from a recess next week, in a stark assessment of the party’s health-care prospects.

“It’s unlikely that we will get a health-care deal,” Mr. Burr told WXII 12 News, a North Carolina news station, on Thursday. He said that the House-passed GOP health plan was “dead on arrival,” and that “I don’t see a comprehensive health-care plan this year.”

When and ONLY WHEN Government Lives under the Same Laws as us will anything substantial happen

OBAMACARE Can be Saved!!

There are about 22 MILLION Public Employee’s Nationwide that are Ineligible for Subsidies, this infusion of New Paying Customers will SAVE OBAMACARE. the SEIU and every other Public Employee UNION fully Endorse Obamacare and have held numerous rallies in support thereof.

Let’s Give them what they want!

I believe our Public Employees deserve the Best Health Care America has to offer, and that is the Official Government Health Care Plan, Obamacare. So why don’t you quit pussyfooting around and Proudly Proclaim your desire to see that ALL Federal Employees receive the Finest, Most Affordable Health Care the US has to offer, OBAMACARE.

All the Money currently wasted on these inferior high priced cadillac plans can be diverted to the Wall.

There is ONLY ONE WAY to make it happen:

Executive Orders or Legislation, the chance of CONgress doing it are the same as OJ Confessing, so I am choosing Executive Orders.

1. All waivers to the Affordable Care act are hereby repealed.

2. There shall be NO funds drawn from the treasury to pay for Health Insurance for ANY Federal Employee except Members of the Armed Services.

3. ALL Federal Employees except members of the US Armed Services, SHALL purchase their own personal and Family Health Insurance from the Affordable Care Exchange in the state they legally reside.

4. There shall be NO Medicaid Reimbursement funds allocated to any State that does not have 100% of their Public Employees enrolled in the Affordable Care Act.

And to make sure it is Bipartisan, President Trump should VETO it every Time and FORCE them to Override his Veto to Repeal this Monstrosity.

Sign these 4 orders and it will be FULLY REPEALED in Less than 30 days.

NOT UNTIL, Anyone want to make a BET???

When and ONLY WHEN Government Lives under the Same Laws as us will anything substantial happen

The GOP has proven time after time that they really have no intention of governing.

They have no plan or path to accomplish anything except posturing and playing to the camera.

Unacceptable. How many years did the GOP have to think about this?

I’d like the GOP to keep this topic front and center; frequently communicating exactly what they’re doing to study, propose, craft language, etc. Mr. Burr’s comments suggest to me that the GOP intends to put this on the shelf and come back to it later. We’re paying a lot of taxes for bureaucrats - let’s give them something useful to do!

This is soooo easy to take care of!!!

For the stupid Senators scared to Vote yes because they are in a Blue State, just let them know you'll definitely lose your seat if you vote NO

Why does it need to be “comprehensive”?

Frankly, any plan that comes out of congress billed as “comprehensive” means that it it crammed with “compromises”.

Pass some finite positive measures.

Whether or not they will lose their seats is wholly and completely in the hands of their constituents.

How can anyone outside their district say “you’ll definitely lose your seat if you vote NO”?

Trump needs to call these so-called GOP leaders to the White House and read them the riot act.

What do Senators know about healthcare anyway? Why should the House bill be DOA?

This is exactly why the 17th Amendment needs to be repealed.

re: “Not likely to happen look at John McCain and Lindsey Graham.”

I didn’t count those two, because their life cycle is near the end.
