Sen. Richard Burr (R., N.C.) said that the Senate probably wont reach a deal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act when it returns from a recess next week, in a stark assessment of the partys health-care prospects.
Its unlikely that we will get a health-care deal, Mr. Burr told WXII 12 News, a North Carolina news station, on Thursday. He said that the House-passed GOP health plan was dead on arrival, and that I dont see a comprehensive health-care plan this year.

So—Why vote Republican?
Then it must be called a democrat VICTORY
They kept OBAMACARE
Enjoy those insurance premiums, everyone
Is the SENATE’S non-action ‘punishment’ for PRESIDENT TRUMP’S pullout of the Paris Climate Change Agreement?
GOP may have gotten my last vote...
Its like deciding to arm to al Qaeda
Because the alternative ISIS is even worse
“Nothing” is a perfectly acceptable alternative.
Less than nothing, by which I mean undoing other things (like protecting insurers from commerce among the States) would be better still.
Vote Republican: Because We Suck Less
What deal?
The People of America outright TOLD those still in the Senate, what WE WANTED!!
You Senators either represent your constituents, or you will be primaried out, next election!!
Burr is a whiney girly boy....
Democrats are a LOT worse then the GOP in the same way that an habitual criminal is worse than a merely useless man.
And that is why we have a Senate and House majority party of useless men and a minority party of habitual criminals ...
This is now an opportunity for the Trump administration to issue blanket waivers to any insurance company that comes up with a health care plan that remotely resembles an insurance product.
If the GOP fails to get this done after posturing with dozens of repeal votes, they will lose their majorities in 2018. We will be stuck with Obamacare, a cancer on the American citizenry. Maybe the GOP is more comfortable with being in the minority. Then they can complain without accomplishing anything.
Perfect analogy!
Perfect analogy!
“You Senators either represent your constituents, or you will be primaried out, next election!!”
Not likely to happen look at John McCain and Lindsey Graham.
Our “higher class” of criminals, which is actually even lower than the “common” variety.
I vote that we terminate the entire senate, who needs them and for what. Cut off their money, make them sit on concrete blocks with no air conditioning and let them debate their asses off.
A totally worthless group of idiots, I don’t see why anyone votes for these morons since they never accomplish a thing.
This is why we need term limits.
