BERKELEY — The arrest of a former Diablo Valley College professor on Wednesday is connected to the use of a bike lock in the beating of three people during a rally for President Donald Trump last month, police said Thursday.
Eric Clanton remained in custody in lieu of $200,000 bail at Berkeley Jail on Thursday and will be arraigned Friday morning at 9 a.m. at Oakland’s Wiley W. Manuel courthouse.

They claimed at the time he was not associated with them — but a lot of people pointed out there were many links in the college web site even if they did purge gim from the directory.

Diablo Valley College has posted his bail, given him a 500% raise and tenure, bought him a brand new Mercedes Maybach and hired a lawyer on his behalf to not only fight the charges against the professor but to also sue the bike lock manufacturer for not placing a warning label in multiple languages to avoid using the lock as a head-damaging weapon.
