U.S. forces have dropped what is known as the "mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan. The device is the largest non-nuclear device in the Air Force arsenal, Fox News' Jennifer Griffin reported. It was dropped in Nangarhar Province, an eastern area near the Pakistan border. It's the first time the 21,000-pound ordnance has been used in combat, said Griffin. The device, developed in 2003 by the U.S. Air Force, is called the M.O.A.B, short for Massive Ordnance Air Blast. It's often referred to as the "mother of all bombs." Watch the report above.

High value target hiding in the caves in the region.
The real Trump Presidency is being revealed.
You are probably right. The timing of the MOAB drop was not coincidental given what is happening now on the Korean peninsula.
What the hell are we doing in Afghanistan anyway?
I guess they were targeting tunnels.
“Another message to fat boy, maybe?”
And Putin.
The AF tested a couple of these things at the range at Eglin a few years back. Sort of looks like a little nuc when it detonates. But I understand it’s designed for air burst, at least the Eglin units were.

Geez....I remember reading about the MOAB, mother-of-all— bombs, back way before I retired 5 years ago. As I recall it was a variation on the FAB (fuel-air-bomb) coupled with some hot sh!t penetrating poser......At the time a company called Dynetics produced it. A damn big munition as I recall.
Didn’t a certain somebody place a nuclear weapon in a tunnel yesterday pending an upcoming test?
The force of the blast kills anything in those tunnels per Jennifer Griffin on Fox. GO TRUMP GO! BYE BYE ISIS!
Since I watch no TV at all, even the Fox News report was difficult to sit through. The report was padded with extraneous detail not germane to WHY we dropped this piece of ordnance, nor to WHAT the result was. When this bomb was first developed when it was first tested, when the public first began to be aware of its existence — these trivia add nothing to the news that we dropped on today in Afghanistan.
“News” reports that insist on tracing the history of every event back to the frickin’ Garden of Eden and throwing in every bit of trivia down to Eve’s measurements, Adam’s lite beer of choice, and what the weather was like the day of The Fall are a principle reason I haven’t had cable since 1990.
Videos online for tests of the M.O.A.B. - I know they’re not exactly the same but holy sheepdip they pack a punch!
I dont think any survivors are crawling out of the holes.
That’s right. The holes collapse. The concussion is tremendous.
Q. >>>What the hell are we doing in Afghanistan anyway?<<<
A. Obviously dropping some big ass bombs. Why do you ask?
YES!!!!!!!!
What the hell are we doing in Afghanistan anyway?
Stopping the rise of another Taliban/Al Queda partnership?
Excellent.
Obama was such a delinquent. I’ll never forget Dinesh Desouza’s movie in theaters, showing that Middle East map charting the deadly expansion of radical Islam, facilitated by Obama by military inaction and his devious but real moral support.
