Bad move by Trump. Ryan and the globalist big government GOPe RINOs are the problem not the Freedom Caucus. Trump is supposed to be draining the swamp by now, not swimming in it.

We the people have been demanding a full repeal for seven long years and that's the position Trump took with his original health care goal at the beginning of the campaign. What he's doing now is madness and it's quickly destroying any chance of party unity and therefore destroying his chances of accomplishing the rest of hs agenda.

I reluctantly post this Pastor Chuck Baldwin rant and fully expect to catch unholy hell from fellow Trump supporters (of which I am still one). You will find it at the link at the very bottom.
There are a number of Chuck’s comments with which I take issue — SERIOUS issue (one being Israel v. Zionism) — BUT much of what he writes squares with points I attempted to make in the 7 minute video I produced over 7 years ago here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkyEtw8lBtI
And, of course, there is the MAJOR ISSUE that the dissembling, divisive criminal Hillary Clinton would have been much, much worse.
As is true of ALL elections, 2016 was a choice between two flawed human beings by equally flawed human voters who had grown weary and angry about the country’s slide into the abyss. Trump, who was not just another Beltway insider and had no track record, won the day.
It MAY be too early to know just where Mr. Trump is taking us, but I BEG you to read this piece with an open mind so that you can be alert to further signs that Baldwin MAY be right.
And, of course, there’s the distinct possibility that the world has become so screwed up by the Deep State apparatchiks, intelligence “spooks” and Globalists that NOTHING can be done to right our course. As I reread that, a small tear came forth for my children, grand children and great grand children. Consider cremation as they might dig many of us just to spit in our faces for the mess we left behind!
Now, it’s off to my underground bunker to brace for what I anticipate will be a firestorm of incoming! (Some of it, sadly, from otherwise good folks who detest the current PC goal of shutting down dissenting viewpoints.)

That’s exactly right. CommieCare is, I forget how many feet high, when stacked up in one pile. There are all kinds of “hooks” in it, for various groups to get something out it, but the taxpayer still bears the burden for them all. The rats knew what they doing at least on a political level-to make this thing so messy, that even people who opposed it from the start, would become enmeshed in some way-ie, pre-existing conditions. Or for the congressional lawmakers, whatever kickbacks and favors, etc, they’d get from the various interests involved in this. It’s a monstrosity, as intended. to think that Pelosi didn’t want anyone to read it-I’d wager there were quite a few congresscritters who never could have read, or understood, the whole thing, all they needed to know was what was in it for them.

I want to add a small factoid for the record here. There was no vote. Freedom caucus didn’t kill the bill. Trump killed his crappy bill in part because the Tuesday group of rinos thought it too conservatives!! We have no vote to show anything here. Trump KILLED THIS HORRIBLE BILL himself at his orders!! First he said “VOTE NOW”!! Then he stopped it. It was really ham handed!! I see Rinse Penis all over this. Trump better wake up and quit biting the hand that fed him. He has NO ONE to blame but himself!! FREE MARKETS OR NOTHING!!
I believe that we need to take charge of the debate—to the extent possible;—and recognize the interests that effectively neuter Republican “moderates.” But recognize them in a way that still puts forward our commitment to follow up an initial repeal of Obamacare, with a firm resolve to continue to pry what parts of the Federal bureaucracy’s meddling in civilian health care, are not repealed, off of the physician patient relationship, step by step.

But isn’t that, at this point, merely a matter of non-enforcement, no legal procedure has repealed it (the mandate)? Which means that if CommieCare continues to stand, the very next rat President could re-enforce it?
I am hearing from others here that the Freedom Caucus can’ be held responsible for anything, especially for their unanimous votes FOR RYAN, so holding them responsible for kicking Ryan out is also not apparently possible.
There was only one amendment allowed on the bill. It was procedural. So, if the goal posts were moved it wasn’t in the bill because the bill never changed.
In other words, since there were no amendments of substance to the bill, then what the FC was asking for could NOT have been in the bill.

So if he thought Romney lost the election in 2012 because republicans were to hard on illegals, I wonder what he thinks about Trump winning with his views on immigration? And people are pointing to this guy as a hero for leaving the freedom caucus because they didn’t want Ryancare?
The mandate has been eliminated by EO, and Obamacare will consequently self-destruct, for that and other reasons.
President Trump has done what he can via EO, and I presume HHS Secretary Price will be doing the same with his powers.
The HFC cannot produce a bill that the whole House will pass, anymore than Paul Ryan can, apparently.
So we're stuck, and Congress will be seen as a "do nothing" legislature, and the GOP will get hammred in the 2018 midterms, and that'll be the end of anything constructive getting passed.
But, hey, at least some of the HFC might still be there to keep moving the goalposts around the field while the ball is still in the air. That is the testimony of one of its own former members.

Exactly. I thought this board as a big part of supporting Dave Brat over the failed majority leader. Now it seems many are turning on him. We have the return of a dangerous cult of personality around Trump. The man is not god and is not infallible. We should treat him as such. He has made poor decisions through this process. Most Miley due to bad advice and a poor timed attempt to build a relationship with Ryan. He needs to get right quick. At this moment, I do not feel good about that. He’s doubled down going after conservatives. That a deal breaker. He is on thin ice with me at this a point.
